Best of luck with restoring the Class 43, This was the best train in British railways passenger use, even today I'm lucky enough to travel to Scotland & travel behind the Ex GWR "Scotrail HST" services, Comfort at its best & not like the newer IET Trains which has replaced the Class 43's with Bench Rock Hard Seats, wish you all well guys, great edition to your collection even if it is used for Spares Recovery.
How complete is this one? I can see the do not rob sign in the cab window. Strange how quickly GWR dispensed with operational green ones like 005 and 041 and kept these 3 if they weren’t all being used as a source of spares.
hi, good luck, its going to cost big money, thats without a new engine, have they really thought this through.then there is the cost of fuel, for me i will stick with toy trains

Why is 43091 only staying for a few days & where is it going ???
Interested to see the livery they go for.

Surely it would have made more sense to swap engines and wheel sets over if they were out of hours/exam and keep the operational ones going.
