If you used time machine to back up and are left with around 4gb of space on a 16 gb thumb drive, you can upload it to Google drive or cloud. May take a while but be patient.

Yeah you can use the same bootable drive for any mac as many times as you want.
MacBook Pro5.5 has been completely installed on 10.15.7 using macOS Catalina Patcher. I want to install Windows 10 now. Windows 10 was installed by booting the assistant through Boot Camp. But the Boot Camp driver cannot be installed. This driver only supports Windows 7. It was found on the Apple official website that MacBook Pro5.5 only has drivers for Windows 7 systems. How to solve this problem?

Hey dude , thanks a Million for this :) pls help ,, im on 5,3 - Mac mini "Core i7" 2.0 (Mid-2011/Server) … having a little glitch , on Safari the top of the screen (about 10 - 15%) goes black sometimes. Any ideas ? blocks out everything from the favourites bar up 🙈
I haven’t had this issue but im guessing you could go to system preferences and change the resolution of your screen, because that maybe be the thing causing it

Hi, someone can you help me? I try to resurrect my macbook pro 2011 and use to surf the web and see netflix/disney. I formatted and install yosemite then i updated with a patch to Catalina (15.7). I can surf with safari but netflix doesn't works, The i would like to use Chrome but after install It crash.

I went from a MBP late 2011 on High Sierra to Catalina and I hated it. FCP updates don´t work. Brave browser neither.

After downloaded catalina how you created bootable Mojave, it’s not mention properly, it’s just show up(Mojave) when you creating bootable usb

I have a iMac mid 2011 with the model identifier of iMac12,1, Which is a 21.5" model, 500GB HDD/SSD and 4GB ram from my knowledge. At this point it's running El Capitan. Will it work if I do all the steps but within El Capitan or will I need to install High Sierra to do the steps first?

What's with Catalina that High Sierra don't have? I couldn't see much differences, is it the smoothness and fast process stuff only?
Some programs won't run on older versions for a start
This is the main reason why people want to go from high sierra to Catalina. Cus some apps only supports Catalina minimum. However, you should upgrade your hardware if you want the best experience with a mid 2010 running Catalina patcher. more memory, ssd, better gpus. If you do this you may get like two more years from your machine. However, unless I had no option, I would just get a new Mac.

upgrade your gpu or try big sur patcher. It has integrated acceleration.
What kind of usb do you need? How many gigs?
Any usb drive works but depending on the usb type (2.0, 3.0), you will get different download speeds. You need 16 GBs or more

You need to format it to MacOS extended journaled. You may get a format.dmg error during the creation of the bootable installer if you don't.

Works perfectly! On my iMac 2010. The only issue is I can't download Chrome as my default browser.

Im sorry about that, I just made this tutorial for people who wanted to try something out. There are little bugs because as you know certain operating systems don’t work on certain machines and therefor you get problems running things

@@gerlensanchez2527 so first try one thing, when you push the power button, right after push the option key and hold it down until the apple logo appears, hold it for like one more second and then stop, and it should boot into recovery mode, the second thing you can do is hold command+R right after u turn your computer on, then when you see the apple logo let go and it should boot into recovery mode

From what I know, I don't know how to do that and I don't think you can once you install macOS Catalina
You need a better graphics card and memory. This process will only work decent with a mid 2010 if you upgrade your HDD to SSD and memory to 8GB and upgrading your graphics card helps. Firmware.
Apple doesn't sell parts for a specific line after 7-10 years or so but you can find the parts online at a good price if you look hard enough. You May be able to get one more year or two outta your old machine.
However, like a car,
don't put too much money into the machine unless you're an enthusiast and not using it for regular use.
Just get a newer computer if this is the case. You can build or get a decent laptop for $500.

Don't do it. It will mess up all your Mac including mouse and keyboard. I know because I tried it. Don't listen to all these guys who know nothing about running a Mac
You can always run the Recoveey partition and erase your startup disc if something fails.

Do a backup before you install macOS Catalina I backup my iMac before I upgrade
@@lplays3277you have to upgrade HDD to SSD and upgrade GPUs and RAM modules for this to process to work correctly.
Mid 2010 weren't designed to run Mojave or Catalina cus they useM chips. And from high sierra to Catalina we are going from 2017 to 2019 which is more than a 2 year jump. And tech changes approximately every two years. It's totally possible with stuff like dosdude1 opencore legacy stuff but you need to upgrade the hardware. You might be able to get it online for cheap if you look hard enough. I mean high sierra with 1067s is not that bad for most basic tasks.
