In normal vinyl, or non glitter HTV, you can also use dishwasher safe Mod Podge over top and it will survive using the dishwasher.
I am so glad I watched this, I have had a mug and plate heat transfer unit and have never used it. I was told you cannot use Dollar Tree mugs, thanks for dispelling this for me, now I am going to try it.
I have been do Cricut 8 years now but I have only did 1 mug and it was with 651 I did it the day I got my Cricut 😂😂. It’s been inside the dishwasher so many times I can’t imagine . And the 651 has NEVER tried to remotely peel off . But I do have a mug heat press I have never used it and I am thinking I might after all these years try it out on a few mugs . But I do have a couple friends of mine that got started in the Cricut about a year or so after I did . And they make cups and sell at craft festivals and they use Dollar Tree Cups nothing else but the Dollar Tree Cups and they put them in the Cup press as well . They always look so nice . When adjusting for the mug size, start from wide open, close it and then screw it tight.
I tried using HTVront gloss black. 300°/20 then 20 then 60 seconds. Didn’t come anywhere close to being stuck to the dollar tree mug. I peeled it right off after it was cooled - as if I hadn’t done anything to it.

Thanks for the video.. the dollar tree mugs are not having top coating as sublimated mugs.. can still they can use for the heat sublimation on any heat press machine

You could use any mug press :)

Any mug press will work ! When i bought my heat press 8 years ago mine came with a mug press. A plate press. A cap press and a couple more I can’t remember it actually came as a 6-1 so I know I have 1 more kind of press just have to wait till daylight to go look in my shop 😂 but I wish I could remember but again I have not ever used them except the cup press and used it once

Yes it has to be heat tape. Just search it on Amazon.

You need the photo printed with special sublimation ink... And then press the mug with the print at 360 °F for 120 seconds. That is what works for me.
And the mug has to be a special mug for sublimation (they are coated in polyester) and are inexpensive (i got them for the equivalent of a dollar each in Chile, and everything is usually more expensive here than the US)

No it has to have poly coating on it. hope this helps :)

Buy a cricut
Cricut or silhouette for vinyls. Sublimation or infusable ink for printers. Sublimation can't use dollar tree mug, it has to be coated mugs.
Can you use the solid colors of HTV as well??
do you need to spray anything on to the vinyl after its done to keep it on the cup for longer ?
No you can seal it with mod Podge if you would like

Depends, you dont need to stare at it if you are right handed, its for others to see it as youre drinking, so this works great for right handers as is
