This blew me away. They aren't even using mikes here. Studio version is great, but to hear without any enhancement, that's amazing. They're brave, they know they're good, and are confident, but they are also very humble about it. These guys are great.
Hard to do in imperfect acoustics. That they actually do it live is amazing!

The Ryman is historic & special. It was the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1919 (before it was on the radio and it still is as the oldest continuous radio show ever) until Opryland was built in the mid 1970's. It started out life as a Church, and now that theater is called, fondly & lovingly, the Mother Church of Country Music....hundreds if not thousands of famed country artists have graced that stage, and Home Free has done 6 or 7 concerts there....and like always SOLD OUT !

Dang the guys are amazing. To be able to sing without any electronics is...just Wow. (I have listened to it a lot and it amazes each time) Love the song and enjoyed Crosby, Stills and Nash also. Home Free nailed it. RIP David Crosby.

"Helplessly Hoping" is one of my top favorite songs. This live version shows just how good these guys are vocally. No studio production, just their pure 5 part harmonies. No auto-tuning or pitch correction! These guys are the best a cappella group out there in my opinion. The original song was done by the folk rock supergroup CS&N back in 1969. We just lost David Crosby from this group.
I like how, at the end, Tim is being a conductor to make sure they were all in sync.

Ugh! I can't with the GIFT these boys have! They should be the most arrogant, cocky musicians around, they're that good!!! But, they are so hardworking, and humble, and FUN! It's obvious in EVERYTHING they do, they absolutely LOVE what they do. And, we love them for it!!! It doesn't get better than that ❤️

Hi D , you really know how to pick my favourite music. Regularly I watch you reacting to Tommy Johansson or Sabaton. But I am also one big home fry and this is my favourite song. It is so pure and clean and goes right to the heart. These guys are just so good. These harmonies are not from this world. Thank you for picking the live version of this. It shows how good they are . This was brilliant 👏

This version is what all the naysayers need to listen to, the people that say there's sound production done to make them sound better. Well, here they are, no microphone, no click track, no production, just pure beautiful singing. They have also done off-mic versions of Auld Lang Syne and How Great Thou Art, the most popular one is them doing it in the middle of a thunderstorm under a gazebo after their concert was canceled.

I haven't been to a home free concert but hope to, the best concert I have seen is John Denver the best part was when the whole orchestra took a break and he was on the stage alone with just his guitar. You are right few artist can sing that pure like Home Free and John Denver.

The Ryman is the Mother Church of Country Music. The Original Home of the Opry. The Ryman has had major restoration and during that The New Grand Ole Opry House was built but both the Ryman and the new Opry are both set up for Live broadcasting for TV and Radio The Ryman has Beautiful Stained Glass windows and I think if you look for them carefully you can see them in the upper deck seating in the video Live from the Ryman Home Free and Texas Hill doing Dreamer... If you get curious Google Image for the Ryman it's a very pretty building.
