What would they nerf on the cleric specifically though ? All we see in this video is gear diff and high PDR. I guess smite so they can't output the damage but its ok if they stay tanky?
If you take away smite though you also remove their ability to contest in general. Maybe they can cut smite by like 30% and we can see how it goes from there.
PDR scaling, probably, so any super tanky class can't be quite as tanky. That is what they did in fact in the recent notes.
Make it so smite can't apply to fists or torches and reduce the movement speed penalty from faithfulness.

@@fettilaflare2249 Ladders only sort of worked, some ladders worked, some didn't. They only actually added a "ladder function" with actual climbing mechanics (no casting or using items during climbing) somewhat recently.

Im convinced this community is infested with bads lead by a couple bad faith streamers. Clerics csnt cast against melee or youre bad for not pressing them. Theyre hyper low mobility, so any ranged can kite. 1h and shield with 30 percent armor pen and you cant beat them? Do you die to shield skeletons too?

move speed is part of it but its also because they removed almost all true dmg which cleric doesnt benefit from (because he has the best one handed weapon in the game + smite) which was what used to shred clerics. also they kept all magical healing the same xdd

@@Pabs._morning star slows u on hit, faithfulness slows u an additional 15%. Getting hit once pretty much means your dead.

Warlock was bad in trios even before the recent nerfs because he deals too little damage
@@xenird yeah maybe in trios he’s not as strong as cleric is broken, a good warlock will stalemate at worst with any class in solos, even duos. Any time I try to show someone the game I say ‘just play warlock, 10x easier than anything else’
@@samedwards7616 Literally this. Warlock is such a braindead class. Genuinely got bored before I even hit lvl 20 with the class, never died once. The class is unkillable in the hands of a halfway competent player.

Sorry for killing you, rushfrog and berb in GC with double cleric bard. If RF didn't waste so many spells you guys would have fried us. Clerics not that OP, it's just that fighter sucks. It was hella funny to see RF get smite torched tho(my buddy removed chest and pants to catch him), and he wasn't running faithfulness either(which I wouldn't mind seeing the slow toned down a bit). I think it's definitely a fun, viable comp though and it's fun to watch solarbear just tank everything with his builds.
cleric is def NOT OP, its a very average class that has been seriously nerfed since day 1...many many nerfs already.

I hate to be that person, but is the class really "op" if you run into it with 17 buffs up and just face tank it and die, instead of you know kiting it out till the buffs wear off?
Not saying thats exclusively what is happening it just seems like a TON of people want to just sit and trade against a fully buffed up class and then get salty they didnt win the trade. Then again maybe im dumb
When cleric gets high MS w/ good gear it's scary. Forces face trades when they can catch you w/ torch. But if you're faster/play advantage well they're still walk bots
I mean in an ideal world you can kite back until buffs are done but I think reality is unless you've cleared the entire dungeon you're gonna run into either another team or an uncleared tile long before the cleric team loses buffs. The bard buffs are infinite and the cleric has 5 bless and divine strikes. They'll also come back quick from a campfire so if they get just half a minute of downtime while you're backing up they full reset.
Whats up with the move speed lately? Ive been seeing plate armored guys keeping up with rogues.
Lotta PDR classes are running 3/5ths plate rn with loose trousers and lightfoots or something similar.
Yesterday i played ranger.
I hit the cleric in solos with 26 arrows, 5 to the head, 4 reapier hits 1 molotov and he was still 30% hp.
Ofc he finished me with 2 hits because I thought hes low hp. I outgeared him too btw.
How is this ingame?

cleric main here since day 1 and we all know cleric is one of the most nerfed and average classes in the game... im sorry everyone wants cleric to be a support class only but its is also a front liner and always has been.
Cleric should get nerfed by splitting it into the caster/healer CLERIC and the tanky/melee PALADIN
Maybe if we actually got GOOD offensive spells, all we have is holy strike in solo because everything else is impossible to use solo.

It’s not a result of bard and buffball. Play solos or duo and it’s 50% clerics lmfao. Cleric IS the issue atm. Bard certainly also needs a change, but it’s not the cause of this

Nerf clerics even though you can kite the shit out of them with any ranged class
But you can build 35% PDR over 315 ms and pop divine protection and be up to cap plus smite and you've got it all. If someone is over 315 ms they probably don't have the damage the cleric does. And they have way less PDR.
@@avery1482 bruh divine protection is 4 seconds base lol, like squeeze in 2 more strafe steps somewhere or block/dodge his first swing before you facetrade.. Also divine prot is 30% pdr, not 40%

It’s the fact they’re so fast while being the tankiest in the game (with perseverance)AND faithfulness slow is stupid overpowered. Basically an Achilles strike that does flat dmg and lasts 8 secs on the user

frontline cleric honestly isnt better than fighter/barb and alot of people are saying it is lol. If you use the right perks and not a LONGSWORD you will counter block own them everytime.
if you longsword in trios you'll get perma range damaged
Even with the best perks sub 25 barb gets 3 shit by the cleric rn and you need 4 shots to kill them with way slower attack speed lol.

Just curious, what do you think needs to be nerfed besides the slow that faithfulness gives to smite? People seem to never try and kite out smite and they try and challenge it and then complain when they die.

@@donnyboi1990 this is facts yeah, sitting similar levels of MS on my cleric unless you're trying to go really hard into MS, and at that point your other shit falls off. A rogue in every situation can outkite you 100% unless you get the drop on them and hit Smite slows, and at that point you already won by just being smarter. If you arent hearing my clanky ass runnning around full pelt through the dungeon, you absolutely deserve to die to Smite having a slow effect.

man all I here is "nerf bard" meanwhile I just watched a cleric almost kill a pdr bard with something thats not even a weapon. I play bard, its definitely strong rn but only in the hands of a good player. ive ran into 1 bard this wipe that was actually good, 95% are complete boneheads. I wasn't even that salty on cleric, my only real gripe about any class rn was warlock life drain. them just being able to instantly reset the fight after every hit of damage is lame. if you dont kill them in one burst you might never. after seeing this if i see bard nerfs they better be followed by some cleric and warlock nerfs because I know I certainly couldnt just stand there and tank multiple hits from an elite mini boss, an elite skeleton, and a nightmare skeleton and even think about being alive. not even with max jolly time would that be possible.

its funny ppl wanna complain abt cleric when the real broken class right now is bard. cleric gets good and ppl jump the gun and cry "nerf it" how about get better at the game maybe its a skill issue. its rlly not hard to counter a cleric, just gotta know how to play the game; spacing, waiting for spells to run out, or if ur dealing with a pali cleric and they use smite just back up until it falls off, or if u hear them use DP run away wait 4 secs and when they arent glowing anymore run in and poke them. cleric has no range either so u can argue that a full ranged team would be the best counter them. imo bard is the problem when put with a frontline cleric. theres just too many buffs going around, but no nerf cleric i guess. but in all seriousness they need to buff wizard and i guarantee cleric will fall off almost instantly.
