July 1, 1989 policy letter to elders stated that elders should NOT speak with authorities regarding crimes committed by JW members. Even if a court ordered subpoena is issued, elders are NOT to share any information with authorities or turn in judicial committee records over. March 14, 1997 policy letter to elders states that if the community or Congregation does not know that a brother had molested children in the past, he may be recommended to serve as an elder or ministerial servant again. So if a molester only confesses to the elders and is able to keep his criminal and perverted behavior unknown and hidden, from the community and the Congregation members, he may be appointed to serve in the Congregation as an elder or ministerial servant. Victims and their families are discouraged from reporting child abuse by threatening them that they will bring reproach on gods only true organizatiowhich Michael the Archangel chose in 1919. Victims are also told that they will face discipline if they speak to others about the child abuse if there are no 2 witnesses or a confession. When you say the JW provides great service to the community, what does that mean? Do they have soup kitchens? Do they provide volunteer services to help the sick? What do they do offer the community?
So handing out Watchtowers and Awakes at 9:30am on Saturday mornings is “providing great service to the community”? When I did it it wasn’t considered a “great service” but a life-or-death, comply-or-die in the eyes of Watchtower type of activity.

You have to remember that it is not the Organization that creates such discipline but Jehovah created this arrangement. Jehovah gives many chances for a wrongdoer to turnaround from serious sin. Is a wrongdoers love for Jehovah strong enough to accept discipline before disfellowshipping? 1 Corinthians 5:11: ”But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. They don’t offer any charities and when they do provide disaster relief, it is directed to JWs in the countries affected. @@JdeUribe let's think about this logically. Let's say someone in a family is raped or abused by a family member who is not a witness. What does the family do when it is reported in the family. They figure out who to believe or if it is not true, and then it is or maybe it is not reported to the police. Let me get this straight, they did not kick the person out of the family right away? Usually it is a process within a worldly family. Sometimes the person is believed right away, and other times not so much. It is complicated, that is why there are steps with humans or things that happens. Again, you did not really read that watch tower as it does encourage reporting when things like that happen. If it comes out to be true through the courts and other things, the person is disfellowship. That is indeed a process as well. In other religions, they tell you to say 10 hail Mary's and don't do it again. Can you imagine, so and so is abused, then what do you suggest? Go tell the police? That is in the article I gave you. It is not an elder's job to arrest an abuser. The most an elder can do is disfellowship the person. If we can't find fault in our system, then it goes to the police. If fault is found there, then the person is disfellowship. Do other religions disfellowship sex abusers in their religion when they find fault?

As a former witness (Born and raised for 19 years), JW’s don’t say “God Bless You” due to its pagan origin. You can say “May Jehovah Bless You”, but not GBY. Hope it helps :)

Their membership is NOT 8.5 million. The WATCHTOWER Corporation has never calculated in a deficit of: 1% national death rate, those who have been excommunicated, those who have resigned or those (like me) that have faded years ago, they still count all of these people into their year end totals. Yes these people are all wonderful, warm and nice at first when they are interested in you joining the organization. But as soon as you question something or decide that the organization is not really for you they shun and make you feel like crap! I recently was treated badly by a JW couple, after they realized I wasn't going to join their cult! All that love they showed me in the beginning turned to indifference and shame! I became very depressed and felt worthless, it's taking me a lot of counseling and reading into self-worth books this past year to overcome that sadness and loss of self worth I've developed thanks to Jehovah Witnesses. The God I believe in wouldn't let his people treat others that way, making them feel worthless like that! There's many cases about people committing suicide because of the emotional abuse they feel from their JW family after they've been shunned. No person should be made to feel so worthless to the point that they feel like they want to end their own life because the pain is too much to bare! Thankfully I still had people around me that loved me for me (people outside of the organization) who helped me get through that dark moments because honestly if I'd been completely alone like a lot of these people are left alone, people that are now Ex Jehovah Witnesses, I'd too would have contemplated suicide. That's how awful these people make you feel if you don't blindly follow their organization. The God I believe in is pure Love not this narcissistic, judgemental dictator they portray! March 14, 1997 policy letter to elders states that if the community or Congregation does not know that a brother had molested children in the past, he may be recommended to serve as an elder or ministerial servant again.
So if a molester only confesses to the elders and is able to keep his criminal and perverted behavior unknown and hidden, from the community and the Congregation members, he may be appointed to serve in the Congregation as an elder or ministerial servant.
Victims and their families are discouraged from reporting child abuse by threatening them that they will bring reproach on gods only true organizatiowhich Michael the Archangel chose in 1919.
Victims are also told that they will face discipline if they speak to others about the child abuse if there are no 2 witnesses or a confession. See Watchtower 1997 Aug 15 under subtject "Why report wrongdoing".

Interesting how polished and professional they look on the surface. Just beneath a very thin veneer is much of what they dont want you to see. Rutherford said in 1929 that Russell was wrong, they are Jehovah and Jesus. @@JdeUribe let's think about this logically. Let's say someone in a family is raped or abused by a family member who is not a witness. What does the family do when it is reported in the family. They figure out who to believe or if it is not true, and then it is or maybe it is not reported to the police. Let me get this straight, they did not kick the person out of the family right away? Usually it is a process within a worldly family. Sometimes the person is believed right away, and other times not so much. It is complicated, that is why there are steps with humans or things that happens. Again, you did not really read that watch tower as it does encourage reporting when things like that happen. If it comes out to be true through the courts and other things, the person is disfellowship. That is indeed a process as well. In other religions, they tell you to say 10 hail Mary's and don't do it again. Can you imagine, so and so is abused, then what do you suggest? Go tell the police? That is in the article I gave you. It is not an elder's job to arrest an abuser. The most an elder can do is disfellowship the person. If we can't find fault in our system, then it goes to the police. If fault is found there, then the person is disfellowship. Do other religions disfellowship sex abusers in their religion when they find fault?

As a former witness (Born and raised for 19 years), JW’s don’t say “God Bless You” due to its pagan origin. You can say “May Jehovah Bless You”, but not GBY. Hope it helps :)

Their membership is NOT 8.5 million. The WATCHTOWER Corporation has never calculated in a deficit of: 1% national death rate, those who have been excommunicated, those who have resigned or those (like me) that have faded years ago, they still count all of these people into their year end totals.
Their year end report, found in the Year Book every year, I have calculated back 22 years of their totals, but I deducted the real deficit numbers as aforementioned, and the real membership comes to about 4.5 million JW's, NOT 8.5 million. If the real truth came out, they would have a mass exodus, so WATCHTOWER hides the true numbers from JW's to prevent that.

1. Why was their own Governing Body member Geoffrey Jackson not punished for lying under oath at the Australian Royal Commission?

For though you state that 'Christ died' and 'he was buried' and 'rose on the third day' If he is the 'third person of the trinity' he, as a person could NOT have been dead for 3 days or the trinity would have been incomplete for that time! Yes these people are all wonderful, warm and nice at first when they are interested in you joining the organization. But as soon as you question something or decide that the organization is not really for you they shun and make you feel like crap! I recently was treated badly by a JW couple, after they realized I wasn't going to join their cult! All that love they showed me in the beginning turned to indifference and shame! I became very depressed and felt worthless, it's taking me a lot of counseling and reading into self-worth books this past year to overcome that sadness and loss of self worth I've developed thanks to Jehovah Witnesses. The God I believe in wouldn't let his people treat others that way, making them feel worthless like that! There's many cases about people committing suicide because of the emotional abuse they feel from their JW family after they've been shunned. No person should be made to feel so worthless to the point that they feel like they want to end their own life because the pain is too much to bare! Thankfully I still had people around me that loved me for me (people outside of the organization) who helped me get through that dark moments because honestly if I'd been completely alone like a lot of these people are left alone, people that are now Ex Jehovah Witnesses, I'd too would have contemplated suicide. That's how awful these people make you feel if you don't blindly follow their organization. The God I believe in is pure Love not this narcissistic, judgemental dictator they portray! Thank God I was able to break free before it was too late.
You have to remember even a perfect organization can never be made up of all perfect people. I just don’t understand how a organization you did not want to join in the first place caused you all this emotional harm by no longer communicating with you ? Seems like there we’re already a lot of issues there. Nonetheless I am happy you got the help you needed . Again i cannot stress enough to please not make a decision of a full religion based only on a few people. The children around the world were crying for justices for more than half of a century and Jehovah heard them and is taking actions against his wicked witnesses. Blind and deaf even though have eyes and ears just as foretold by prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 43:8.
