Ah to go back to the days when men wore ties and women wore dresses. Singers could actually sing and were popular for their talent and not what outrageous thing they got caught doing on the internet. Men were born men and didn't die as a woman thanks to modern medicine. Who is famous today? The Kardashians. What did they ever do and what talent do they have? What has Paris Hilton ever accomplished or given to society. Our values and hero worship lay in the wrong places. I wish we can bring back the 50s.

@@michaelcraig9449 Haley failed to achieve the level of success enjoyed by contemporaries such as Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis. According to one source, "he had conflicted feelings about fame, was extremely private, suffered chronic alcoholism, and troubled relationships." In the fifties, music impresarios were on the lookout for musical acts that could perform Black music well, since White audiences would be more apt to play the White versions, as parents felt like the White versions were more "safe." That's how Pat Boone's hilariously Caucasian version of Little Richard's hit, "Tutti Frutti" made more money than the original. So, it really doesn't matter if the White artist were actually better; White audiences (like you) treated them like they were...

ever seen. This is now exactly 60 years ago so he should be 80 at least by now..
I really wish he is still alive and able to watch himself in thos act.

Linda Adams Linda, I cannot, even today, replicate the buzz I felt on a Friday and Saturday prior to going out on the town. I would bathe, [no showers then], comb my hair into a perfect quiff, [or pompadour as the Yanks say], dress in my Oatmeal coloured jacket with 'Slim Jim' tie, black drainpipe trousers, black 'brothel creeper' shoes and, together with my like-minded mates head off to theTudor ballroom, a local dive which played Rock 'n' Roll music, I can still smell the perfume and sense the atmosphere, isn't that strange?

I’ve always wondered if that missed landing at :51 was unintentional or not. She certainly looks a bit surprised for an instant, then she’s whisked out of frame. I also love the couple (dude with glasses) who are seen in the background dancing ever so gently, then end up the ones who bust loose a few moments later.
