Around the mid-1990's, Chubby Checker performed at a trade show here in California. One of my co-workers from the small company we worked at, jumped up on the stage (un-invited) and started twisting with Chubby Checker. Prior to this, she had a few adult beverages and decided "what the heck!" I was sure Chubby would have her removed. To my surprise, Chubby didn't seem to mind. In fact, they were bumping hips towards the end of the song. The entire audience enjoyed the impromptu performance. Chubby was a good sport.

Those were the days. They'll never be days like them again. They were the greatest. Let me stop before I cry.
The 50s and 60s - the best two decades of the second half of the 20th century.
stop thinking for a second and do the twist
Chubby Checker is the only singer that had the same song chart #1 in two different years. The Twist charted #1 in 1960 and again in 1961. Chubby Checker and The Twist changed the course of dancing history.
Milton Williams - yes, thanks to Hank Ballard ✔
No wonder it was Billboard's All-Time 100 #1
Milton Williams Queen had Bohemian Rhapsody go to number 1 when it came out and then again went to number the year Freddie died

I bet this song hit people like a ton of bricks when it came out because as a 47 year old, this song wasn't really a part of my generation but I still find it mesmerizing. Once that snare drum is hit, you're in for one hell of a ride!
But it's songs like these that could generalized en entire generation decades after it's released. I'm sure in the 90s this was still going strong
This song will live forever.

This era was all about fun and real music.
I really wish I was in that era, too, Like so bad.
Martín Cardenas I know. This was real fun, real dances, real dates and omg. I'd do anything to go back to this era haha
Rene Rodriquez yeah, go back to this era and dance with you, because you look fine.
Aelius Magnus what?
Aelius Magnus oh, ok.
It is just that she is pretty damn gorgeous, that is all.
The dislikes amount represents people who don't know how to do the twist.

Just remember people,Hank Ballard who is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wrote the "Twist" not Chubby Checker who will never, ever be voted into the Hall of Fame.
Esa canción aparece en El Hombre Araña 3 y es la misma coreografía que hacen Mary Jane y Harry.
