No matter how terrible the criminals or horrific the crime, when someone actually escapes, I find their ingenuity amazing. It's sad they couldn't use that brain power for something better.

It's far from the first time that it was attempted. I think the first was in the early 70s in Mexico. I believe it's been tried more than a dozen times.
Brendan Abbot and his mate approached me in Mitcham, Melbourne's Outer East not long before the shootout with authorities in Box Hill, I knew about him and as soon as I was asked by him where the local Doctor was - (who had a sympathy for addicts and was known to write scripts for opiates) - I knew who I was dealing with, I could see the mate of Brendan`s was dope-sick, so I just pointed out where the Dr was and was glad they hadn`t just robbed me of my scripts....
Just to touch on what you said about the character of the buildings in Birkenhead and how they make you feel. I've always been very atune to the feelings a place give me .I moved to Cornwall from n.ireland 2 years back I new when I went there for a weekend that I'd end up living there . I was do drawn to the place and the character of the area with its smuggling mining and fishing industries. 3 things I have worked at in my life and I got a real feel like I'd been there before in a past life. I love going to the old mines touching the stone building I get a real sense of the people that worked here in days gone by . Has anyone else had similar experiences ? 🤘
Is he rented will ab. Remember him years mad he used to have lovely garden but if you kicked the football he's used to go mad probably nothing to do with him
Fremantle prison closed sometime in the 1990’s. It’s a tourist attraction now. Also I agree with comments about freeing Brenden Abbot. It’s well and truly time.
At the British prison, the warden said. There's nothing else his guys could have done nothing else. Anybody could have gone, but then they fixed the problem.
He didn’t send cops postcards. That’s garbage. Cops found undeveloped film in a car he used & when they printed them off they contained photo of Abbott on holiday with other Asain tourists.
Good,im glad they live in squalor, maybe then they realise that doing time in such a place, its better to be out and lead a normal life, instead of crime and grime... IF YOU CANT DO TIME...DONT DO THE CRIME!!
Their has only been 3 absolute true blue England decents true blue Aussies in my book , ned Kelly , John killick , and of course Brendan abbott, I know if he didn't have the heart and soul to stay loyal to the young guy who got him out I know Brendan would be still running around ,

Using a helicopter to escape has got to be one of the most ingenious plans to date! Absolutely brilliant!!!
It’s common sense it’s not genius 😂 like what else are you gonna do crawl over the fences that have all that nice little Barbwire

it’s 2024. Enough is Enough. Free Brenden Abbott
yeah, I agree, I think the humiliation he put on the cops in their eyes is worse than the crimes!
Is he rented will ab. Remember him years mad he used to have lovely garden but if you kicked the football he's used to go mad probably nothing to do with him
