  • New year new build! What better way to get some experience with some new tiny RC electronics, and our new FC-01 front suspension assembly than to build an ultra realistic 1/24 scale 1965 Shelby GT350. In this video I'll be introducing my latest RC project, and talking about how these 1/87 scale electronics will be ideal for ultra realistic model car to RC conversions. If you're interested in doing a similar build, be sure to check out this page on our Patreon: / build-begins-60999887 More updates on this project to come. 👍
For convenience, I went ahead and listed each component I'm using for this build so far here: / build-begins-60999887

Been looking forward to sharing this build with you all for awhile now. This is definitely going to be a fun one! Thanks for watching and I hope you all have an awesome weekend. 👍

We use a lot of tiny electronics with our antweight combat robots. Have a look at the malenki-nano escs. A lot of the stuff developed for us will be good for these cars as well!

@Make It RC Is there any way to get all needed parts without owning a 3d printer? Igot the same Modell kit in work, it's painted and somewhat glued. Hope i didn't build my Shelby 350 to far for the conversion

This kind of realistic project is what I most love about this channel. Thinking about LEDs or lowriders this realist got me very excited! Congratulations on the step up btw, geting this tiny eletronics to work is amazing!

idk how it would all fit, but you could put 1 (or 2) servos in the trunk and 1or2 servos in the engine bay, and attach the servo arms to the suspension links somehow, so that when you actuate the servo it lifts/lowers the suspension.

and some piezo-electric actuators for a jumping low rider...

@@yodu45 you don’t need the actuators. I’m working on a 1/24 87 Regal lowrider currently, mine hops off the servos. It 3 wheels high too. No strings used, all geometry and physics. It’s hard on it though, like a real car. I’ll post the build on it soon to my channel.

Connect a MOSFET or little relay to give more current to it.

✌🏻😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿This is going to be interesting.
I was thinking you was building another one for the recreation. Maybe you should have backups just like they did when they was filming it 😂
Also go check out the redcat hopper to see how that is set up to make yourself a low rider. There’s a couple of versions of it now. There’s plenty of videos to show you how to set one up. Also if you can make a 24th scale like the redcat hopper & make a running video, I can call it early and say the video will probably blow up in the rc community.

Almost want to build one as a clone of my dad's, he's got a 66 gt350h. He's been buying my son Rc trucks, maybe it's time i send one his way

You should look up Orlandoo hunter rc they are 1/35 scale and they are a pretty good match for 1/24 rc conversion theirs a couple videos on UA-cam of other people doing it id love to see what you could do with one

I really like the detailed engine bays on the models you get to make a rc car for. How come you don't do all your engine bays just some? I understand cause of hiding electric components I just think the realisms to the build would be worth it.

I’m gonna send you an email with photos of how to do a lowrider at this scale. Mine isn’t quite completed but you’ll get the picture and figure it out. I’m using an arduino micro-controller and a PS4 Dual-sense controller to drive it and activate the hydraulics but I’d love to try out the electronics you’re using to save space and weight. It takes 7.4v to run mine so weight is a major factor.

Made a impala lowrider rc . Not the best build. the first i made so its cool . Used some scrap parts from some rc car. The rear Axel i not so good

Thats looks like its gonna be a great build, have the same kit but mine is a post apocalyptic 4x4 mustang. I would like to someday see a 1/24 scale 4x4 build.

I've got my hands full right now but that is a great idea for a future project. I know there are other people who would like to see a 3D printable larger steering angle front end for 1/24 scale cars.
