Got to be an witness these guys at the Concord Pavillion in the day. What can be said more about Wild Dave Meniketti except he has a God given set of pipes and his style of playing the guitar.
Y&T is probably my favorite band of the 80's era of music. I would go to the mall and straight to the record department and look for new Y&T cassettes. Yes I said cassettes. I got so hooked that I told the workers to hold me a new copy of any Y&T that comes in. Dave Meniketti has a phenomenal voice.
They still tour. I will see them soon in Southern California. Their sound, even with the new members, is awesome. And now, in the smaller venues, every seat is an amazing experience.
I grew up with bands like Motley Crue , RATT , KISS , ect. back in the early 80"s while in high school and never heard of Y&T. But in 1984 while working a part time job , a fellow co-worker told me about them and ever since I've been a huge fan. My favorite album is 'In Rock We Trust" and favorite song is 'Masters and Slaves"
my fave album is IRWT too. amazing it is. saw them on that tour too at Donington UK, as well as a few early tours, Saw them a few times since and last time 2016. just a class band who sound the same as they did back in the day...
i blame lack of rock radio support for not getting Y&T to multi-platinum level. Dave and the band wrote the songs that should've dominated radio but for whatever reason their peers enjoyed the success instead. This song is another example. 1986, perfect song for radio and the guitar lick is so memorable.

Y&T made better music and had a better sound than most of the bands from back in the day.I still like songs like I believe in you and Forever, and Midnight in Tokyo can still rip.
