Also for what it’s worth, I would say comparing the wyrm course to ardy is less fair because it’s a level 60 course basically. Comparing it to seers makes it a lot more of a side-grade than worse
For amalayse at least, I think Ardy is a fair comparison. The poll blog for the wyrm course said it would be "significantly better" for getting amalayse than rooftops.

You should do a road to blood hound series. I’ve heard you mention a few times in your videos “my favorite pet is the bloodhound but that’s unrealistic”. Given that elite clues drop from a very wide variety of content, you could frame every video as “today we’re getting our elites from …” which would allow you to do whatever content you’re feeling and still have a cohesive narrative reason to. Just a thought, love you kip ❤️
If that’s actually you skating (sorry I’m a bit newer to your content I mean this in the kindest way possible) then that’s really good dude. Would love to see more! Legit I’m sitting here trying to figure out if it’s you or not 😂
Question would you know if you had the brimhaven agility course recoloer would it also recoloer the new varlamore that color or would it be just the varlamore recoloer
Obviously haven't finished the video yet but glad Jagex are looking into rates across Varlamore, including the amalyse rewards requiring half as many termites as of this morning.
@@zachwithnok They had a list of hotfixes today so I assume the "next week changes" can only be done as a coldfix. Doesn't make sense to shut down the game today to change the termite cost
@@jake9107 don't understand what this comment is supposed to mean. It's a live service "toy" which I pay monthly to access. Additionally, I'm a former developer and current Sr. Security Analyst, I regularly work with these type of issues. Given the scope and variety of changes they hotfixed, there is no reason this change requires servers to go offline as they have previously hotfixed shop/vendor issues. It simply wasn't a priority because it doesn't affect PVM.
@@zachwithnoki mean they also have all the other stuff they added to work on changing and rebalancing as well. plus theres still normal agility for any players who want to get amylase right now. like yeah the QA could've been better this update but its not that bad and there's still so much stuff to do that won't be changing next week
I'm just kinda annoyed they polled this course as a "significant" improvement for obtaining amylase, and even with the hotfix buff it's still not worth doing.
you know this but maybe a highlighted comment should be that the amylase packs are going to be updated to be 100 termites. making it 40 minutes for amylase.
i finnished up 99 here, its a good course, i think its unfair to rank it against ardy which is lvl 90. comapred to seers rooftops its decent rates. it really should have been a 1 click course for half the xp.
Completing the collection log will get you 62-70 agility. From 70, seers is better xp and amylase per hour. I agree for it to be worthwhile getting this lower xp and amylase than you'd get at rooftops, it should be less clicking than it is
Do you think they’ll lessen the cost of the rewards for mixology? It feels like a lot of pts for each item. Nonetheless I like the course here a nice change of pace from rooftops
There are over 53,000 maxed accounts & 150,000 accounts in osrs that have 99 agility. Someone looking at this course from the perspective of having 99 agility is hardly crazy.
@@mandrue73 i am one of those maxed players and I still find it crazy, it's like looking at a dragon scimitar vs a fang and then saying "damn isnt the scimi bad in comparison???"
@@average-osrs-enjoyer because he was looking at it from the perspective of what is worth it for him, and simply said, using your analogy: “there is almost no reason to use a dragon scimitar once you have a fang” aka filling the log slots and or having access to better courses. He didn’t say, “dscims are usless to everybody”
Why are you comparing a level 63 course to a level 90 course? Seer's seems more reasonable. Wyrm ends up being more exp/hour and more marks per hour. Even better if you don't have the diaries/teleport for seers village.
I think this and the herblore minigame are good examples of how Jagex is just so afraid of making anything that's baseline equivalent or slightly above baseline equivalent for rates on things because of outliers in the community screaming at them.
Honestly you should probably take the video down and remake it as they just hotfixed and halved the cost of amalyse packs, significantly changing how the course sits in terms of progression and reward. Also as others have pointed out comparing ardy, a lvl 90 course compared to a lvl 50 course is veeeery inadequate. That's 100k xp vs 5.3m xp. You need to look at the larger picture of the game and not just from a maxed perspective
They did not hotfix the cost, it is still 200, which I put in this vid description on upload. That is getting changed next week as it needs to be a coldfix. 95% of the video views come within the first couple days, which would be before that gets changed anyways. The point of the video is that the course isn't worth doing beyond completing the collection log Very few players are doing this course are doing it at 50 agility, the vast majority are doing the 62 route which is pointed out in the video. So it makes more sense to compare it to seers rather than falador (the level 50 course). Seers is more xp but slightly less amylase per hour, but with the medium diary (players with 60 agility would easily have this done), that makes it the same amylase/hr. That makes wyrm worse than seers, and the more higher level courses you have unlocked beyond seers, even less worthwhile wyrm becomes. So my point still stands that it's not worth doing beyond the collection log. The gap of worthwhileness is just smaller with seers rather than ardy I can't imagine a scenario where someone ever does this course specifically for the amylase. Most ironmen with 62 agility can't make staminas for a long time and would be better doing the faster xp courses to unlock the faster marks/hr methods. And most mains have better moneymakers than 180k gp/hr. If someone likes the course then by all means they should do it, but the point of a guide is to give objective advice If I take a video down and reupload it, it gets significantly less views, which in turns gets it pushed down in the algorithm, and even if I didn't have a sponsor it's not something worth doing for such a minor part of the video that is easily rectified with a quick description edit
@@WildMudkipfair point that I was wrong about the hotfix, also I can't argue that your video would preform worse and your sponsor wouldn't be happy with the results. However you still don't see the whole picture for this content in the game. According to the wiki a perfect lap takes ~44 seconds and nets you 46.6k xp/h or 56k xp/h with diary. However that's after 79 agility when you stop failing. From lvl 60 to 65 your average lap would take around 75 seconds(w/o bank tp) according to the wiki and net you around 27k xp/h. I don't have the math to calculate it at lvl 62 but let's assume it's around 30k/h. And from 65 - 70 your average lap time is 55 seconds and nets you around 37k/h. All and all this makes your average xp/h 32k/h from lvl 60-70. Also worth considering seers is considerable more clicks per hour and paying full attention. Which your realistic player wouldn't do all the time. So my personal conclusion is that the fossil course is actually worth it for account progression from lvl 62 agility to 70, and do seers after 70 with diary teleport. This is just constructive feedback and not meant to be insulting or toxic. Very possible that my math is slightly off but everything is on the wiki.
The point of the video is that everyone should do the course to get the collection log done, but it's not worth doing after that for amylase. Even with the cheaper amylase packs I still don't see how it's worth it, much less warrants removing the video. By the time you get the collection log done you'd be 70 agility or close to it if you started at 62. You're saying to move on at 70 which is exactly the point I'm making: get the log done and then its never "efficient" to come back
