- 2 days after the release of Varlamore part 2: The Rising Darkness, Jagex has made a bunch of fixes! There's a list of hotfixes already in the game, and a list of coldfixes that will be happening with the next game update on Wednesday. This includes changes to Mastering Mixology (herblore minigame), Hueycoatl (Huey), the Colossal Wyrm Agility Course, and miscellaneous changes!

i rlly like these videos even if ive read the patch notes myself its nice hearing u talk abt them and give ur opinions
also nice if you have ADHD and inevitably miss things in the news posts
Agreed
Big agree on the “enjoyable but less efficient” content. As a more casual player I’m not concerned about a 10% decrease in xp/ hr if I’m enjoying the content or even bigger gaps if it’s much more afk. I hope Jagex continues this trend similar to the agility rework. It’s fine for not everything to be the meta. It’s not fine for anything NOT the meta to be 50% slower than the alternative imo. (Excluding some crazy sweaty stuff like tick manipulation or other things the most invested 1% of the player base does)
re: tick manipulation
While I agree with your comment whoreheartedly, and most tick manipulation methods are way too sweaty, sucking the joy out of playing OSRS - there is one application of it that I recommend to everyone:
Hunter.
Setting traps is already pretty click intensive (especially with 4-5 traps), and adding tick manipulation to it makes it more fun, as instead of just clicking and staring at long animations, you go into a certain rhythm and flow. Its quite fun, especially for shorter sessions (like when doing rumours). And more efficient!
8:00 so you're saying osrs players are the only ones who say "pot bedge"??
Idk, I'd rather they take the time before release to just get reasonably close with balancing before they release things, and maybe make small tweaks afterwards. I don't think doing things like releasing bosses that are negative money per hour, or releasing a time saving QoL update that would take 750 years to recoup the time in getting it, and then needing to drastically buff them is the "better" option. It just kills the hype for new content when rewards are terrible.
Potting / Pre-potting is a common term in world of warcraft
Wow I had no idea, thanks!
It's also in FFXIV, I imagine it's common in any game where potions grant a competitive edge.
It's common in any MMO that has potions that you would use to increase your damage/survivability
It's called pre-potting because in wow, potions have a 2 minute cooldown that won't start counting down whilst you are in combat. When fighting a boss, before the encounter is starts the dps use a damage increasing potion which then allows them to use another potion 2 minutes into the fight. I miss raiding in wow but in reality I think I just miss being 15.😅
we are so lucky to have this dev team. i fully expected to have to wait till next week for any changes, and they not only give us an update today, but then they improve it based on feedback right after as well? so nice.
also, the hueycoatl drops crazy good seeds for irons, i did a solo kill and got 60 lantadyme seeds lol
How do you find solo kills? I’ve just gotten my zammy hasta (no Lance) but when I did kills before with my zombie axe it felt very slow
UIM shouldn't get back points if they bought a storage, they tried to get around a mechanic and should've known better. 😂
Facts remove all items from their deathbanks aswell how you gunna play a uim and have storage 😂
The name change for the prepot device is likely because that name doesn't jive with how something would be named within runescapes world.
definitely nice to see some improvements. only thing for me is the rewards costs. i’m not gonna do any more mixology until they nerf the rewards costs. i really want all the items but the costs are absolutely ridiculous. they could be cut in half and still be too much
The thing is if you go in with mid-level Gear. Theses max gearers out dps u by miles
You can get two procs with a double click on the agitator and instantly finish the potion now too
Potting up *is* a term used in other games and communities! Minecraft has a variety of potions used often in PvP game modes and we usually just shorten them to 'pot' / 'pots'.
A term that only Minecraft players would have is 'gap', or if turned into a verb 'gapping'. This is in reference to a healing item called the 'Golden Apple'. You might use these words in the following sentences:
• Take a gap.
• I'm out of gaps
• They're gapping.
Good lord, typing that out made me feel so cringe. Enjoy your UA-cam engagement slop comment and keep up the good work! 💖
Funny compared to osrs gap where you are out of attack range of a pker
Wow I had no idea, thanks!
@@WildMudkip how many times did you copy and paste this l0l
I was going crazy today looking for one of those missing stash units
I need that secondary item to be cheaper...
using "pots" is a common term in all MMO's for using a potion
Wow I had no idea, thanks!
Wow I had no idea, thanks!
yea.... thats not nearly enough of a buff for the herb minigame...
it is too much. The costs should be higher because the rewards are that important, no other minigame gives such good rewards that impact even the end game players.
@talesuponyoutube4423 the problem is you need more Lye than any of them to buy stuff, if it all refreshed when you make one, you can cherry pick the ones that give you more Lye. With this method, you have to make ones you don't need to get them refreshed. It's really bad.
so in the game world of warcraft there are potions that give a bunch of a stat for 20/25seconds with a timer of 1minute cooldown that doesn't start until you have left combat so only ONE potion per boss fight you can however use a potion on the pull timer at like 1-2seconds before pull which will give you the 20-25seconds of the buff and cause the cd to start because you are not in combat it's a PREPOT if you will
It’s nice to see that Jagex listens to feedback in all formats and actually fixes the relativelt problems quickly. I’m still waiting on a feature for mixology that scales with high herblore levels. Reward the people who got 99 herblore with more points potential or a chance to make additional pastes.
I love the mixology change, it feels so much better now. Especially because the M/A/L ratio you need is 3:2:4, it feels like there's a lot of quick thinking and planning to decide which potions you want to make.
The Huey changes are so big, I honestly thought that the drop table was good before, as like an entry level group boss, felt like slightly harder than Scirrus and you trade the bonus xp for the chance at the rare drop table and better armor than god d-hide. So very excited to bring a small group of friends and try and get me some upgrades and blast her during the league
Also, edited addition, the cold fix is just a nice QoL for the start of the fight, one of the five things you poke to start the fight was easy to accidentally click when trying to dodge ground lightning. Otherwise fight is great, highly recommend trying it out in 3-5 person teams
Agility course buff is actually huge
I think maybe reducing the potion storage a little more and have a way in setting to customize it a little. Also those gloves you get like gold gloves that help give more xp to be able store in your poh. also the necklace thing that help get 4 dose points deal reduce too. The 5 pre pot deal for refund deal if you got it before the update should not get refunded at all. The others one should get some what refunded or a potion pack. The double points timer should get little more time on it like 5 seconds more. I not huge complain about it. I just want little more help when needed.
We need prepot a only one time gift that banker holds for uim but with a caught you die anywhere in the game you must pay a fee to reuse it after unlock it or something like that. I just give a idea out for pre pot deal also have a option for uim to buy the storeage if they wished and say we will hold the unlock for you when you are ready to used the bank.
I'm happy they're going to reduce the amount needed to get the rewards from mixology. So many herbs are needed. So so many.
I think you should keep releasing two videos daily. just talk about whatever online drama is happening and say how its going to affect runescape.
Pre-potting is a normal term in MMOs.
Also QA is something which gets outsourced as one of the first.
Love youuu Mudkip
10:54 its no efficient, but if you enjoy it just do it! Love that!
two uploads in a day?! thanks Mudkip
They put a bandaid on an amputated leg and called it fixed 🙄
Verdict: I’m glad I did Wyrm agility first.
no bro u didnt say the correct hey hows it goin
Pot is a phrase in other games that use potions
the new huey hide armor looks gay as
i liked the pre pot device :(
more skate clips :p
I've got my problems with Jagex like anyone, but we are currently living in a Golden Age of OSRS and it's worth celebrating.
First
Woah
TYVM
i raid in ffxiv and we do say pot when the pot window comes around as well
Wow I had no idea, thanks!
2nd :(
New agility course is so mid. Skill is poop
seems like sepulchre will never be topped
Pre potting is a term used in every mmo with pots
Wow I had no idea, thanks!
4th :)
The Alembic is near impossible to get the reaction boost on. Funny that they added it to the Agitator but not the Alembic
Just click when the pump goes down the 5th time it's free
@@trevorelliott3218 Good shout, that seems to work well. I thought it was supposed to coincide with the sound, but seems like you have to click it before the sound
2nd
You're 3rd
"Fixed", gaylamore is still trash
whyd they change pre pot :*(
How do I contact Jagex? They forgot to add the Aldarin house portal to the construction cape.
By right clicking the report button to submit a bug report
Are you on RuneLite using the menu entry swapper? They merged a fix for that and it should be in the next RuneLite update. It just takes them some time to adapt to new OSRS content.
@@Demonslay335 Ah maybe, I didn't check. It has been added to the menu entry swapper too now. 👍
the mixology update to hand in all 3 was not good imo, at least for irons. It was nice being able to farm a specific resin
but you can still do that
@@emma_tm nah because before you could just ignore the potions you don’t want to make and they would get reset after you make one, now they will just stay on the list right?
I discussed that at 2:40 in the vid
This was fixed like 3h after it went live (The game was hotfixed twice today). Now it refreshes all on every hand in but you can hand in up to three requests at a time in one action.
@@leomoore4935 thank god appreciate the info
I like the idea of these videos, but I'm really not a fan of the "reading the newspost" format. I'd prefer to hear a summary of just "The minigame is slightly different and lets you submit multiple potions at once" and then go into what you think about that. I don't care about what Jagex has to say about it: I've already read the newspost myself, and I've already heard what reddit and my clan have to say about it: I want to hear what *you* have to say about it. Do you think this these are good changes? What further changes do you hope to see? What are the emergent consequences of these changes? What about these changes will alter how you engage with the content yourself? I would like to see this be more of the focus and take up more of the runtime than reading off text that's already on the screen.
