Were there definitely BBs coming out of the gun? Having slowed the footage down, fiddled with brightness and contrast I can't see any. I appreciate the camera will have a low FPS, it was dark, the BBs would have been travelling very quickly and the echo blots out any impact noises and such. maybe reason for a bit of skepticism?
If it's the guy people are naming on Facebook, then I can confirm that he is not up for taking hits. I played at Crail and shot the bugger multiple times and he just smiled at me as he eventually strolled behind cover. I mentioned it to a couple of people I was playing with, regulars on the site, and they said he was famous for it. Usual excuse was his gear was so thick he didn't feel the shots. Or apparently hear them. Or indeed see them, as he watched me pouring BB's into him.
All you can take away from this one is next time: Hose him down until he puts his hands up. And slowly move your sights to the face. works a charm every time.
his camera FPS sucks so it cant pick up the bbs traveling. No matter how much you enhance, zoom, and stabilize footage, you will not see a BB if the camera never picked up the bb in the first place.
But I took the hit...even though I did not feel a hit. I have had the film reviewed, slowed down and enhanced. I cannot see any BB's even leaving your weapon.
I personally don't see it clearly in the video but the suggestion the guy didn't take the hit has me looking hard to confirm the accusation, some see non hit taking some see nothing, this should have been dealt with onsite or in private with the organisers, the court of public opinion is unfair when the title of the video has folk looking for an indiscrsion.
Wily, you may not have named him but he has felt the need to name himself in his defence. Also I don't doubt that your rifle is accurate but I'm sorry mate, I have seen countless misses even at really close range over the years. Did it ever occur to you that the lack of sound was because you missed completely and the round went past him? Is it even possible that might have happened? If its possible then posting this was I'll-judged at best. You saw what you believe you saw, I don't see it in yo
If you note, the hit was denied but the player took the hit out of good manners. But as non of you saw what happened after the footage its like only 1/2 the story. How many times have you been shot and not felt it...but taken the shot out of good grace. I have watched the video umpteen times I cannot a see any bb's leaving his weapon or no sign of a hit.
Just keep pullin' that trigger till he takes the hits next time bro. Sucks he's a dishonest player. If it was me he would have had some nice new welts on his face to go home and think about.
im not trying to piss u off when i say this but i like airsoft better because it is more realistic. now paintball on the other had is not realistic at all
Wily, by your own admission you cannot see on the video the vital facts; your gun firing and the player being hit and failing to take the hit. The marshaling team should have dealt with it, but obviously couldn't for whatever reason. Perhaps increased oversight of that player would have been a better approach, rather than exposing him to speculation however justified you feel it was. Posting this has very direct & negative consequences for other sites, my own included.
Ahh here we go again. the airsoft vs paintball debate. Different sports people, leave it at that. its like baseball vs cricket. cultural differences and experiences. some people like the milsim feel, others like the tournament aspect. there are posers and losers that ruin the image of BOTH sports. dont be that guy and do us all a favor and grow out of that petty "this is better" mentality.
but the video isn't damning, it's inconclusive to me it could go either way, but i'm looking for the cheating so i'll see what i want to, As for defamation it took less than a day for the guy in the videos' name to be mentioned to me, not a nickname, this should have been dealt with in private, but it has popcorn value :p

Paintball is a sport, Airsoft is a hobby.
And you can always miss...
This is why I own 60 rps rifles.

Since this is signally inconclusive I cannot see why it was posted. I would even wonder if it might constitute defamation of character?
