Local hero Takamoto Katsuta and co-driver Aaron Johnston were fastest on SS13 Nukata Forest 2 (20.32 km in 14:33.5 min.) - and they had many more stage wins! The Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT crew finished FORUM8 Rally Japan 2023 in fifth position.

Taka and Aaron had a great race from Friday afternoon onwards. The delays and bad luck in the morning was a reason they're not in the top 3. Sure, the others would/could/may have changed their own driving, we will never know.

What's with the camera angle on the left of the car where you don't see the road in straights and right corners? Could we just get a version where the main view stays and you can see the driver in a small window? There is no need to do any cuts at all.

Unlike the videos of the drivers on public roads in strange foreign countries, I felt the craziness of the WRC drivers more by attacking the mountain passes in rural Japan, where I was born and raised, with all my might.

Great drive, but I don't think so. 3 other Toyotas were on team orders going safe and that made it much easier for Taka to win stages.

The coverage was pretty bad with poor picture quality throughout. Clearly the bad weather and tree coverage impact on communications. Can this be ameliorated next year?

@@GameScrub-Raff The reception was perfect from the off board cameras. Perhaps we could have more of these in each stage?
Understandably there was almost no heli-cam footage. Overall a good rally that I enjoyed but that’s probably more to do with how big a fan I am rather than the quality of its coverage.
