@@OCDsucks I did and I'm so thrilled with it, I also installed a new air intake and APR Coils. And I have to say the car is such a thrill to drive. Always has, just has that extra ooooommmmfff!!!! I feel like Burger should give you a kickback!!! Great work my friend!!!!
Hi, thanks for your video. I just purchased one of these pedal tuners and decided to watch a few installation videos since it didn’t come with any detailed instructions. How did you know that the battery needed to be disconnected while unplugging / plugging in the cables? I couldn’t find that info anywhere else. Thanks.
These pedal tuners work by opening the throttle body more than normal at the same pedal input. So, if you give the car 25% throttle, the throttle blade opens 30% instead of 25%. This gives the illusion of more power. My issue is that if you're throttle body is open 100% and you're only at 3/4 throttle, once you really floor it you won't see any difference and it will make your car feel broken.
You should try a UM tune first then decide. But I would be interested in knowing if it would still benefit me. Its drive-by-wire. All ur doing is moving the map closer to the top.
DANTE BELGIAN MALINOIS it’s not only that. There’s a computer delay when opening up the throttle body. And this seems to make a difference. I’ve been interested in getting a UNI tune. Been up in the air between UNI, UM and APR. Just not sure which one to go with. I want to stack it with JB4.
@@OCDsucks UM in Milford CT is the best hands down. I will be going there when I go with my TTE535 Turbo upgrade soon. But yea I think im gonna try this this Pedal Tuner anyway to see if I like it.
I'm going to get the pedal tuner because the lag off the line is my biggest issue with my golf R. I used to have a JB1 but have moved up to Stage 1+ tune. I'm saying that because I wanted you to know that I prefer the tune over the JB. Both are good at giving power for sure. But the tune gives you power from a lower rpm where as I found the JB you had to wait and then it kicked in hard. Not a good description but lets just say its a smoother power add and a bit more power overall with a tune. But the JB is great value for the money. Thanks for the video.
I loved them together. The Pedal tuner did wonders for the throttle response and the JB4 mapping software is truly incredible. If you’re not in need of a big heap of power, you might not need the JB4. The pedal tuner doesn’t add any power but the power delivery feels much better, especially in the most aggressive setting. If you want to do the JB4 just be aware of your clutch if you have a manual trans. If you have DSG you’ll be fine until you start adding bolt-on mods. At that point you’ll need to get a TCU tune. Again, apologies for the late response. Hope everything went well!
I couldn’t speak much to that. I know that my stock clutch definitely wasn’t able to handle the power and needed replacement and a few thousand miles. If you’re in the DSG, I would definitely get a DSG tune. I would go to VWvortex forums. They have an ABUNDANCE of info. Thats where I did most of my research for the things I wanted to do to my car.
? I’m not trying to sell people on the thing. This thing worked really well. It made a huge difference. I’m sure a TCU tune would be great if I weren’t driving a manual. Also had the JB4 piggyback. There’s no scam. They’re fantastic.
This 😂the 😂most 😂hilarious 😂install/review video😂😂 I can’t wait to install mine tomorrow. Thanks 👍

No. You’re the best.
I just got a 2015 gti se, your channel is super helpful! Thanks!
Thank you! Will be posting more again soon. Had to better prioritize some things
I’m going to get it for my jetta
Just ordered one for my VW, great video!!!!
Install it yet?? It’s fantastic!!

Paranoia. Disconnecting and then reconnecting cables. Just felt it best to unplug the battery

that's only if you have a slow car. if you floor it fast cars will have more room for more power.

I would definitely try it. If you don’t like it I’m sure they wouldn’t have an issue with a return.

Great! Come back with an update. Curious to see how you like it
Im going with the same Turbo. Or maybe one of the new G-series from Garrets.

That’s great to hear. I always wondered what this car could do if it had the 5 cylinder. Golf R has so much more potential than people think.
Nice visual
In your opinion should I get this before the jb4? Dont really have the doe to do both at the same time

Is this by chance just mainly for a manual? or is it good to have even if you have a auto? I have a 2020 vw golf automatic and wondering if I should.
I would definitely put it in an AUTO. You’ll never have to keep up the acceleration by switching gears yourself.
Does the box help reduce slow rev hang
The only thing that will help rev hang is a lightweight flywheel.
DO THEY PUT ANY STRAIN ON YOUR CAR OR DAMAGE YOUR CAR IN ANY WAY ?

@@OCDsucks Stock clutch wasn't able to handle the use of the pedal tuner?
@@t58beare he’s running a jb4 tune. So I assume he’s talking about that. The pedal tuner won’t affect the clutch at all.
These jump boxes and "pedal tuners" are a scam. Get an actual ECU and TCU tune. I went from a JB4 to EQT and Huge difference.

Your clutch is slipping.
Yeah, I know. Stock Golf R clutch just can’t handle the added power
