Holy crap thank you. I'm a fat guy let's be real we are fat and I wanted to know if I would fit in this trunk. I ordered one ages ago and it's finally in picking it up tomorrow but I have never been in one ever to see how they are.
Step up to the Ranger XLT and both power mirrors and cruise control are available. However, as a wide guy myself, I find the basic XL Ranger a very attractive truck. The basic XL Hybrid with the $100 tow package is tough to beat. Even stepping up to the XL AWD like yours is an attractive truck. To bad they are sold out for the rest of the year.
The XL would be almost a perfect truck for me if they just added the cruise control. But if I get one, it will be The XLT with cruise, power mirrors and the tow package. The steel wheels are fine for me, but I will take the alloys that come with the XLT package. I also like the max tow package and the FX-4 package with the front tow hooks and skid plates. But then you up to $30k purchase price.
See youtube for the video that enables cruise by installing a steering wheel from another equipped vehicle as the hardware is in the maverick by default.
@@K1OOG-509 which video is it where you swap the cruise control steering wheel? I sniffed around your video list and did not find it. Be interesting to see how that operation turned out. Thanks.
Step up to the XLT and you get cruise control. For 20k starting price, ford had to take content out. They give you quite a bit for that 20k. And for a number of company and government agency’s, they want inexpensive trucks without cruise control. The XL Maverick is almost a perfect fit for those guys. A big W for them.
@@K1OOG-509 That’s really interesting I run a small window cleaning and lawn care business can you make a video on what you do for a living I think that would be really cool to see
Does your company need the all wheel drive or would a 2 wheel hybrid work for you guys? With the high miles you do, that mid to high 30’s mpg would be a real money saver.
I'm basically the same as you, 5'11" and roughly 270 ish. I can guarantee that you'll be perfectly comfortable in the Mav. I was considering a Ranger, but in the end, the Maverick actually has more interior room than the bigger Ranger. The only thing you might want to consider is that, depending on the seat position, your right knee is almost touching the bottom left of the center dash. Right where the fan speed dial is. But that is something that, as stated, highly depends on your seat position. Other than that, it's a wonderful (and comfortable) truck. I'd be happy to tell you more about my experiences if you want to know anything else.
I purchased the bed extender and honestly it's all I really need. Anything else I'll tow a trailer
Thank god someone in the internet has finally answered the real questions since i am a big guy too.
I wish they did these comparison on cars! My stomach appreciates it

This gets a like just for the video title.
Thank you
I would like to see a mid gate option for the Maverick. That way you could turn that short 4 foot bed into a 6 foot bed when needed.
It's crazy that the truck is supposed to be fuel efficient, yet, it doesn't have cruise control. Ford throwing a massive L on that one.

I’m not a particularly big guy but I still appreciate your honest review. Curious what y’all do and how you use the truck
They will be used as Pilot / Escort vehicles for oversize loads. This one just hasn't had all the equipment installed yet.

We get our two hybrid models in a couple of weeks. Very excited.
Do the cheaper Mavericks have heated rear view mirrors?
No, they do not.
What do you define as big guy? I'm 5'11" at 285 with big torso little legs.
6' 400+
