Today everyone is arguing for some flavor of democracy or communism, but God is king, not president, and despite all protests to the contrary, it does seem that most of the democratic sentiment is, in fact, anti-God.

However, God also used wicked Nebuchadnezzar to do some good things for HIS glory, but that didn’t make Nebuchadnezzar righteous! In the same way, Trump who is the antithesis of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus in so many ways, is not righteous simply because God used him for HIS glory. Soli Deo Gloria
I am looking for someone who adheres to their principles. Both Desantis and Trump are shaky on this, to say the least. Trump gave legitimacy to red flag laws, and as you indicated, let Fauci run amuck. And while Desantis is praised for his stance on freedom during the c virus, he did sign a law in May 2021 which allows Florida health officials to forcibly vaccinate and treat people in the context of high mortality event.
The most valuable service Trump provided the Nation, behind that of nominating truly conservative judges for the SCOTUS, is that he removed the camouflage from the pretenders lurking in the conservative camp. Before this they had masqueraded as our fellow conservatives with little to distinguish their leftist inclinations.
I agree with this take, but Trump himself is a lifelong liberal. He ran as a Rep in 2016 only because it was politically profitable to do so,. Being a Rep hasn't changed the fact that Trump still adheres to ideologies that are liberal. He only seems like a conservative by today's standards because Dems have became extremely more radical.
@@theeternalsbeliever1779, the one place where he has changed, and I’m thankful he has, is on his stance on abortion.
