I need one! Thinking of road tripping across the continent and down the coast, then backpacking Europe again... maybe just write a book from some random cabin in the woods.
This is so helpful!! I'm considering taking a gap year after I finish highschool in a couple months, my mental health really needs it
Hope you take the time off, you deserve it! Highschool is hard on everyone and taking a break is sometimes all you need.
Same I’m doing it
Omg at the start of the video I got a pen and paper out to write down the ideas I liked, I ended up writing like literally every single one of your suggestions hahaha really good suggestions thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!! I want to do them all
They all sound amazing! So true, after a year of lock down we certainly crave adventure
Yes so true! It has been a hard year and we all deserve a little gap year break.
What's funny is I feel like I need a gap year (even though I am well past the age). Much preferred to the lost year (maybe two) that is 2020-2021. Great ideas!
There is always time for a gap year if you need it! Of course I understand that the older we get, the harder it is put pause on life.
The sadness of being a Latin girl that almost everything you just said doesn’t apply to my reality… my family doesn’t have money even to go to another city… 🤡😓
Only volunteer but Papa said: NOOOOO
One is supposed to support your self in the gap year
thank you ☺ this is helpful
Hope you find whatever fits best with you ;)
I'm building up the courage to take an adult gap year. These are great ideas!
It can be scary for sure to do as an adult, but think about all the experience you will gain throughout the year
@@travelaimes You're so right! Thanks for the inspo :)
Im currently taking a "Gap-Summer" after 5 years in the workforce !!!
That’s amazing!! Hope you are having the time of your life!!
im still trying to do an epic roadtrip in the US lol
I'm also from Belgium and currently planning my gap year :))
That’s awesome!! Any concrete plans yet?
@@travelaimes the only thing I have already planned is a language trip to Montpellier for 4 weeks to study French! I'm going with WEP and I'm staying in a host family.
I'm also thinking about doing au pair in the USA or in Canada for about 4 or 6 months but I'm not sure about that yet.
@@justme-bb6lk aw I love Wep!! Doing a similar thing in October again with a language trip. Doing an au pair sounds great too!!
@@justme-bb6lk Sup man! How was your gap year?
@@realclueless It was great!! I experienced a lot of cool things and had some serious self-development haha

Thanks for the suggestions
any tips for a gap yr i 2022
I would recommend slower travel, explore a country more in depth. Maybe add a language course or volunteering program in there as well. If you need more help figuring out what to do, you can check out my services: www.travelaimes.com/shop

No usually families want an Au pair for at least a month. But most of them are 6months to a year
