Hi Lucy. It's so comforting and healing to listen to you and your journey. I love that "sometimes people go and gap year to find what they do want to do. but i would say that you end up just realizing all of the things you don't want to do", "16 year old Lucy would have had no idea who 22 year old Lucy was going to be", and "whatever comes, will come". I have been thinking of a gap year for 6 months. Now, I have finished my term, and is at the roundabouts. I get a lot of courage and belief and energy from your video. Thank you for all of that. I really appreciate your efforts and fearlessness. Wish you the best and I wish to come back and update on my gap year later :))
Loving this video Lucy! ❤ Wish I had this type of information at my fingertips ten years ago when I graduated high school 😢😔 I worked straight outta HS and somehow 'lost'(?) my dreams along the way and lived a mundane life; pandemic hit, unfortunately lost my job and now three years later am working two jobs trying to support myself and my family (read, black tax😮💨). Only last year when I started watching you, did I start slowly, slowly but surely start to dream again and am saving bit by bit for a trip somewhere sometime in the future (if the universe hasn't fetched me yet 🙈). xx
All the premises of this girl only makes sense to people who have money. There's nothing here for the ones in their "gap years" who would be saving so they could get to college, or just survive while they, for some reason, couldn't just continue their education.
Hey! I appreciate the comment but I beg to differ. I started working at 15 and I was working full time during that gap year, travelling on weekends before I saved up enough to do 6 weeks travelling europe at the end of it.
@@LucyAlllan well, it's okay. You truly don't have to represent everyone in your videos. But I for one, for reasons I don't really have to get into but overall fall under the umbrella of being broke, could never walk your path, no matter how amazing it seems.
