Hey Dave, great work here! I'm also building an Avid and My name is David. I've been researching engines for several years and recently came across the Rotax 800/850 ETEC, and realized this is a modernized version of the older engines in most Avids. Anyway, I decided that's where I'd go with my Avid (still a ways out on it), so finding your video already doing it makes me even more confident in the idea, I guess great minds think alike, lol! Excited to see how it goes. I've started working though some of the initial designs to adapt the gearbox, engine mount, etc. You're well on your way with yours, but if you need any CAD work or any other help, please let me know!
The blue is silicone heater hose for hd applications like tracktors trucks etc. Get it at your automotive supply store. And the black molded hoses are the factory ones from skidoo off the sled. The two going to the cooler are wrapped in heat shield....is that how you spell shield? Looks weird ha anyway thanks for checkin it out hope that helps
Buddy, Title is "most power avid in the world?" You don't say a word about the motor, size, power, prior application, just totally missed the whole premis of your video.
Your right i guess i forget that most people that watch are new to the channel and are not in the loop so to speak. Its a 2014 rotax 800 etec . It makes 165 hp outta the box
