Just an update: TSA no longer asks you to lay your laptop flat, they either want every laptop, tablet, phone and battery OUT of the pack into separate bins, or they want the whole thing intact in a single bin, and they will open it up pocket-by-pocket on the other side of the scanner. I've had my Nebula 32L searched dozens of times across just as many airports in the last 1-2 years, and I carry 3 laptops, 1 tablet, 2 phones, numerous cables, adapters, chargers, battery banks and more. I've never had them ask me to open it and lay it flat. Ever.
A couple of weeks ago TSA asked me to take out my laptop, even though I have TSA Pre-Check. When I asked if there was a problem, they just said they sometimes need to do a more thorough check just to be safe. So ,even with the new scanners, extra screening can still happen :)
Thats so annoying I was also thinking about it So I can pick out my laptop what I prefer not to do So everyone knows I have expensive laptop with me Macbook pro m4 16” But it is what it is I will put my Tomtoc sleeve probably in the next layer That doesn’t fir together and I More wish. And I also have all these things inside the backpack
@@travalovathey just like to make it more spectacular so everyone can look at you 😂 So annoying But they wants to be sure But I question always Why sometimes you need 2 scanners when arriving almost While everything was already scanned
This is not what Prop65 is… Basically every company that’s sells anything in California slaps it on their products to avoid potential litigation. It does not mean that the materials are toxic.
If you don't put anything in the Front mesh pocket, the backpack will fit under the airplane seat, but as I already said in the video, check the dimensions of the personal item allowed by the airline you will be flying with.
Yes, it will fit under the seat as long as you don't pack every single pocket stuffed to the brim. Keep in mind, the weight restrictions of carry-on have been cut in half for international flights, so even though you can fit it all under the seat, if the gate agent feels your bag "looks" too heavy, they'll ask you to remove important items and check the rest.
Great video. I buy the same but than in black. I buy this bag for traveling and it also fits my macbook m4 pro 16 And some extra’s to add I bought also a osprey rain cover That one was not included Sometimes it does And also a chain net from Pacsafe85L with Gearaid hooks That makes the bag more complete When you are at your destination and you have to leave without back and macbook pro or other laptop and things you wants to have extra protection on. And these GearAid hooks or carabiner so you can hanging this back on something when needed. I have size small it hold 23kg if im not wrong.
This backpack is excellent, but it does have some drawbacks which I mentioned in the video. You make the choice of the backpack based on your needs. For me, one of the best backpacks for air travel is the Thule EnRoute 30L. I made a separate video about it. Also, check out my latest video where I compare both of them.
So is it toxic or it’s just a warning that there might be some traces of it? I’m not from California and US and i’m wondering how safe is to use this backpack. Actually in Europe we don’t have such a warnings, so it’s scarry to see P65 badge
@@darekp.5338 For many people in the US, it’s a big deal. California Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings about significant exposures to chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The label on Osprey Nebula indicates that the product may contain such chemicals, although their presence does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe. This labeling aims to inform consumers so they can make more informed purchasing decisions. So, It’s up to you to decide how safe it is for you to own this backpack.
Toxic material? What about your everyday food? polluted air everywhere? Your everyday use of your mobile phone and other devices? What about the cheap clothes everywhere? Do you believe that you found the problem of your life in this video? Be serious my friend
I did last week. No one asked to put the bags in the sizer but I did try on my own out of curiosity. It didn’t fit in the sizer box when fully packed but I was able to push it in when it was 80% packed.

It does not mean that the materials are toxic.
Totally understand but its could be very important for some people.
Have you used it as a personal item? When fully packed, would it fit under the seat on a flight?

Yes. This backpack, full to the brim will fit under the airplane seat. I’ve used it on total of 6 mixed domestic & international flights.

Finally someone made a really detailed video and pointed out that Osprey backpack material is actually toxic!! 🙌 Thank You!

no sleeve for carry-on.....
For me, this is also strange
Almost made my decision to buy until I found this out.
The top back handle doubles as carry on sleeve
