I would call your relationship with colourful eyeshadows efficient: you use the least to have maximal impact. These one or two colour eye looks is how I first dipped my toe into colourful look and I still think they are glorious! Love how you approach it in your own way, it’s gorgeous! 🙌🏻💜

Subtle/subdued/approachable
wearable color. Your color is done in a way that most people can relate to and honestly wear. Love today’s look 💕
It’s not just you with the mixed feelings about PMG ❤️ I went through a phase where I thought I needed all of the Mothership palettes, but then I realized I just don’t reach for them like I reach for other brands. Are they beautiful? Of course. But I’ve since decluttered or sold more than half of my Motherships and only held on to the ones I do reach for fairly regularly, and I’m OK with that. I know people go nuts over those Blitz Astral shades, but those are probably the ones I go for the least.
I’m 100% with you. I did the same thing and purchased all of them and like you have sold or decluttered all but 2. Everyone looses their minds when you don’t LOVE them like they think you should.
I have only one. Bought another one but sealed it (have to in Sweden if you want to return a product) and I returned it. So much money and not that much better I think.
I agree. I own one Mothership palette, thinking it would be the best thing ever. It's actually not my favorite, not even close. I don't hate it, but I was so sure I was absolutely going to love it and I just don't.

I LOVE Pat McGrath palettes, but I only buy color stories that speak to me. The quality and the formula is honestly really great and long lasting on ME. We are all different and what works for some won't for everyone. For me, I just cannot wear Huda palettes. That formula just wears off and disappears within hours 🤷🏻♀️

Pat McGrath-Thank you so much for saying that about her palettes! The sparkle always ends up all down my face and I use excellent eye primers. Muted Colorful and/or Colorful Accent eye shadow looks-I LOVE colorful eye shadow too, but as accents or muted/toned down color.

I’ll say that your PMG palette ranking is an unpopular opinion. LOL. I get all mine on big sale - I never pay full price. I just got the Mothership 4 for $47.50. It’s ok if people disagree! Thanks for your rankings! XOXO Heidi
That sale was a glitch and they cancelled half the orders. They never go on sale that cheap unfortunately. They were one of my favorite brands until this happened.
@@SamanthaD89 I agree with you about the glitch, but I only have 3 (I was able to get one from the glitch) but the other 2 I got were 40% off. That’s the only time I can kind of justify it. I think there might be bigger sales in the future but that’s just a guess

Pat’s eyeshadows need the work! Great primer (fenty for me), glitter glue and a generous amount of setting spray. They need way more than most others. The thing is, when we get it right, they are glorious! Your ranking is absolutely fair if your shadow transfered all over the place. Thank you for this ranking, it’s fun to revisit older products. I need to get more use out of wild child.

I like the palettes overlapping. I feel like that’s super helpful because you’re not just talking about a palette once and then never again. We get to hear about your opinion over time.
Also, I loved the red look you fur with the Darth Vader palette. It’s my favorite look I’ve seen worth the palette so far.

I was able to try PMG for $40 for 6 pans. I tried and tried and tried to like it. I just gave it away to a very happy 19 year old young lady. I agree with you. In the same category, I have numerous ND palettes, nearly all the minis, several midis, and even 2 of the larger ones. And I LOVE her formula! We all have preferences. They change. They evolve. Our application skills and tools also change. I’m grateful we have a market to meet all of our preferences. Love you, girl!

Love this video. Good info about the palettes, and the older with the new is great. Creators always say that videos with older (yeah, like maybe came out 2 months ago) don’t get as many views, but I like hearing about a variety of products. I don’t buy things at launch that often, and I use my palettes for years. I’m always happy to “get inspired” to use my palettes in new ways, or like the idea of using two palettes together that you mentioned (Angelica using ND pastels with Hela and Club Nebula). Thank you!

The words that come to my mind when I think of you and color (which I’m totally the same way! I love my neutral brown smoky eyes but I also love a pink, green or purple look) is soft colorful looks or even snatural color. It’s still colorful but it’s a little softer but also snatched. I would describe your use of colors as elegant. Your style is very pretty and understated, in my opinion.
Girlfriend I am of the same exact opinion of the PM shadows. I just got my very first one during that big sale. Was so excited to finally have one. I'm so underwhelmed by it. I will choose my Natasha or Sydney Grace shadows over that every time. I can't imagine ever paying full price. You are not alone!
Speaking in art terms, I feel like your makeup style is more like watercolor (softer) whereas Angie's is more acrylic (bright, bold). Both are good!

I have issues with eyeshadows to. I figured out it is talc in the shadows. Also certain mascaras and other eye products.

I'm excited to get Heather's palette because it has subculture vibes with the adept formulas 🥰 I bet it is stunning. By the time I even knew about the palette (got behind on UA-cam videos lol) it was a pre order but I'm glad it was still available to order. I should get it in May!
I don't think you are the only one who feels that way about the PML palettes. Kat / kitschsnitch recently did a video depotting all of hers. It was interesting to watch. I do have one PML palette and it's nice but not my most favorite formula. I don't feel a need to buy more. Her color stories just don't speak to me. There are too many of the same type shades (lots of pinks and golds) Those just aren't my colors. I am really enjoying this palette ranking series. I've also been trying to go through my palettes and enjoy stuff I have. I have a nice collection and I've been having fun with it :)

Samantha, I so agree about Pat McGrath about the quality. I actually have 3 of them & I got the same things happen to me. It actually really does not stay on & I think it makes a mess eventually & applying it. Not even sure why I bought so many. It made me think twice about getting anymore. I think the palettes are way to hyped up. If the quality was amazing I wouldn’t mind the price. I thought I was the only one. Great channel. Looking forward to you going back to older products. Channels seems to forget about them because of so many coming out.
I have the alter ego dupe for the pat McGrath Divine Rose. It is a great palette . Glad I have it and didn't buy the other one.
Honestly when I got my first pat palette I felt like the shadows were lacking and creasing almost immediately and the flaky shadows falls all over the face! BUT, I got the pat IntensifEYES wand and I have never had the same issue. The shadows stay put all day and never creases. In fact I tried using the Nyx glitter glue right before I’m about to put on the glittery shadows and it does the same thing. I think it’s not that the quality is not good, the pat shadows are just really chunky and flaky so it requires a more tacky base. And if you love sparkly glittery shadows like me, I truly feel like there’s no one else who can beat Pats. (At least mainstream brands) So hopefully you have some glitter glue on hand to give it a try and get your moneys worth!! 😊😊

If you put some palettes up head to head, I’d love to see the Patrick ta (first one) against Natasha Denona glam face palette. Also the new sigma mod palette against the Natasha Denona retro!

The only Pat McGrath palette I have tried is the Mothership VI, and it has four of my favorite shadows ever. Maybe you just haven’t found the right one for you. :)

My favorite palette so far is the Adept x Heather Austin palette. Can't wait to see your ranking. The intro was really fun to watch 👏 Edit: Yes! I love PMG but the eyeshadows are really not worth that price tag. The packaging is luxurious and all but my indie shadows perform just the same. I only order products like that when they're for a better price like on black Friday.
