    this video has made me realize you can get a bunch of natural powders and do any mix and it will still work!!! now i think i am confident enough to make my own DIYs. the secret seems to be simple: use natural ingredients because they have very few adverse effects.

    I just made my first batch of henna gloss treatment last week! I made the tea this week and I can truly say, I’m shook!! In a great way! My hair loves it! I’m still trying to determine if my scalp does. I have a problem with seborrheic dermatitis and no store bought products nor meds are working! Oils really agitate it so I’m hesitant to try the oil recipe. However, I love the other two for sure!! Thank you so much!!! ❤

    I'm so hqppy you mentioned MSM powder. I initially bought it to use it as a drink, but after literally throwing up as it is sooooooo bitter. Instead of throwing it away I thought whynot use it as a spritz. Seeing your video I can happily continue that way and also add it to my oils. Thsnk you for this thorough video.

    Can I just say you are gorgeous first off. Second thank you for breaking this down and making it so easy to follow. I really needed the how too portion bad and I didn’t have to wait 20 mins to get the ingredients. YAS love you for that. Now I need to show me that hair calendar you had at the beginning of this video. I’m trying to lock down a simple yet consistent regimen. If you could do that I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

  • @UrgirlZoe

    Great video! Alternatively, you could also mix a batch of henna (100 grams) and amla (25 grams) or your favorite fruit acid, separately, then freeze the dye released henna into ice trays. That way, with each mask or tea you could pull from the henna ice when needed. :) When the henna thaws, all of its nurturing properties will be in tact and instantly available.

    Love this!! I was inspired by your last video to make a DIY daily hair mist with green tea, redbush tea (which has amazing properties for hair too), PLUS I added diced onions (sulphur). Urla Eversley-Moses it really is my pleasure 💕 I wouldn't advise using the mix on a four year old because of potential sensitivities and the potency of the mix. I'm also not sure about the age guidelines on ingredients such as msm so would check that first. You can definitely make a similar mix using just the Oils and a small dosage of the Ayurvedic powders/herbs and observe how her hair responds to this. X

    How frequently do you use the gloss? Is it done before or after a shampoo? Or do you use it as as a cleanser?
    The video doesn't say.

    • @Prov31Beauty-Seeinglassfull
      @Prov31Beauty-Seeinglassfull 6 років тому +2

      Hiya, from CProverbs videos I watched, Gloss is generally advised weekly use (unless you are henna-masking that week-HM is monthly) and after shampoo, as part of the Deep conditioner mixture- ie a spoon of the Ayurvedic powder in your DC mixture. Hope this helps?

    I had 2 brain surgeries in April and have discovered that I'm losing my hair through excessive shedding. I'm desperate to figure out what to do. There's so much to choose from to decide what to do. Also, what is your regimen? What is the sequence that you use each recipe? What steps/products do the recipes replace? Thanks!

    • @LoveYourTresses
      @LoveYourTresses  7 років тому +1

      Hi La Tanya, so sorry to hear about your excessive shedding. I’m glad the surgeries went well and your here to tell your story! I have a video published just before this one where I share my regimen in detail. The recipes only replace 1) My prepoo product which used to be the 'Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Extreme’ and 2) My Deep Conditioner which I now mix with Henna
      Remain blessed x

      La Tanya Wright I'm afraid I've only used a clay once and that was a while ago so I can't recommend it. There are lots of clay wash videos by naturals on YT. Perhaps you can see what you think based on those videos. X

    I have been natural for 4 years now and noticed that the front of my hair will grow and leave the back, i started blaming myself that i sometimes in the pass tied my hair too tight and that could be the reason why it refuses to grow, ive never been able to put my hair up in a bun something i find at time really annoying and frustrating

    If I had not have kept reading the comments, I would've thought this was Curlyproverbz recipe with a twist...Do you still use the scalp lotion with aloe vera? I tried it, but it did not work for me...my aloe vera was expired though. maybe that was the case. Do you notice any difference bet. fenugreek seeds vs. it's powder form?

    • @LoveYourTresses
      @LoveYourTresses  7 років тому

      Yep, a few comments suggesting the same thing, I think I’ve addressed that topic enough now. I no longer use the lotion, I found that as long as I wash my hair at least twice a month my scalp is happy. I love Aloe Vera but felt I could get so many more benefits form using various oils on my scalp so went back to using oils instead. Good point, maybe it was because it was expired - worth trying again maybe? :)
      I’ve never used the powder form but can’t imagine them differing much. Both would have time to steep in the oil so I think either is fine x

    • @LoveYourTresses
      @LoveYourTresses  7 років тому

      Hi JC B - I deep condition under a heat cap anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Without the heat cap I would go for as long as 2 hours. Yes you can keep it in the fridge, it won’t last as long as in the freezer but it should be fine for 1 - 1.5 weeks x

      I usually add the oils before straining because I may forget to do so afterwards but both ways are equally as effective. I add 10 - 15 drops of each, more of the fragrance I prefer and less of the fragrance/oil I prefer the least x
