Alison Krause is the only person I’d trust with this gem by James Taylor. She did not disappoint. One of the greatest voices of country music, and, as you said, such a talented fiddler. Saw her with Union Station about 15 years ago, give or take, and what a concert! Thanks for the song and reaction. You can follow Alison and never grow tired of listening to her.

The movie O Brother Where Art Thou is a treasure trove of great folk songs. Alison sings “ Down In the River To Pray” in it. Another great song from it is Man Of Constant Sorrow which is performed by her Union Station band. The best version of this song is by acapella group, Home Free.

I've been a Huge Allison Fan since her 1st radio hit. Beautiful, Class, Traditionalist with a Twist, Great Musician and did I tell She Can Sing?? A very deep catalog of great music and she has a long way yet to go. Her Duets with other Artists is a Whose Who of Country and Bluegrass Music. Seeing her is in my bucket list.

Her song "Paper Airplane" is probably my favorite song she sings. I was luck enough to see her in concert in 2018, she closed the show with an the song "It Is Well with my Soul" a cappella. It was just a beautiful song.

The guy sharing the stage with her is Jerry Douglas. He is recognized as the best dobro player in the business. I believe this is from a TV special recognizing the genius of songwriter James Taylor. JT has written some of the best songs ever. In the movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou, a member of Alisons band dubbed the singing voice of George Clooneys character and Alison, Emmylou Harris and Gillian Welch provided the voices of the three "sirens" at the river.

Her band know how to complement her voice, not cover it up. Back before CDs I would play her cassette tapes over and over at work. People would come in and ask who was singing (this was before she was well known) because she ‘had the voice of an angel’.
