this is easy to understand, ppl scared the shit out of me saying I can do nothing in Tekken if i didn't learn this tech, thank you very much
Try it on pad or on stick :)
That’s what they were talking about. :)
Dude this is a lifesaver. I just started playing T7 on Mixbox and I was struggling with this big time. Thanks ;)))
Secret Discord Tech lmao. Thanks for uploading this!
Hahaha you got it man!
No secret, there are many other methods to do it check hitbox's website.
I knew my stepmania skills would come in handy someday.
For some reason I can nail it perfectly when using BOTH hands. But when I'm only using my left it keeps on stopping.
Clumsy middle finger. Should practice by giving people the finger more often.
@@Laerei bruh lol
@@Laerei lmfao
Straight to business! Reminds me of old UA-cam hahaha. Thank you so much!
This is a lot more simple than doing the B B, DB B, DB B manually.
Dude, I love you for this, I was struggling sooo much... Also nice keyboard you have there! I think I have the exact same? Qisan MagicForce by any chance?
It sure is the Magic Force! Nice.
DISCOVERED THIS IN 500 HOURS OF TEKKEN
just stumbled upon your tutorial, thx dude, now i know the thing
Broooooo thank you for this i was so messed up with the inputs
big salute to you sir. Simple tutorial for backdash! Easy to learn from this. thanks
You got it! I'm happy the video helped.
Finally a simple video and simple to learn, thanks dude 👍👍
looking for this, for months! Thanks!
Thanks a lot for this tutorial, this made life so much easier.
BRO USING FORWARD FOR THE NEUTRAL INPUT AND HOLDING BACK IS MEGA SMART HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Holy crap. This technique is hard enough by itself and doing it "vanilla way" on keyboard is even harder. This video actuall made me feel like a pro when I got the hang of the timing lmfao. My friend also plays on keyboard and he was assaulting his arm and his keyboard for several days now trying to master KBD, and I made him look like a fool ahahaha
Got him Ggs
Bruh thx I was fking up cause I kept double tapping fwd after down
You got it man. Happy I could help!
How about the p2 side ? Feels very awkward doing it with your ringfinger .
Maybe this way? ua-cam.com/video/QUk2G_K4wrs/v-deo.html
(^ that's just the regular inputs, without using forward to cancel. Might be easier on P2 side)
big brain video. 👍
Tekken on keyboard is weird yet satifying ! Playing with bob i have moment where i do amazing things and have no fucking clue how ! Ive seen myself bask dash but the way interepected it on keyboard was much harder this is easy as it gets ! its 3 actions one remaining at all times making it two in rythym !
hey i know its 2021 but thank you so much, ive been trying to do ir wrong this whole time
You are very welcome my friend. Keyboard gang rise up.
Interesting brawndo
watched about 20 tutorials, this is the only one that worked.
Does this work for forward wavedash too?
Amazing job btw thank you
If you reverse the inputs I believe it does, though I havent actually tried it. So maybe!
And you got it. I'm happy you liked the video!
Thank you sooo much D: i love you for this
You got it!
A lot more simple. Thank you
Oh god, I've been holding back and hitting D, DF, F, *, D, DF, F
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I use only my index finger for down and forward to press as fast as possible
Good lord that's 10x times easier thanks
thanks man
Thanks pal. u save my life
woah thanks dude
best method
HOLY thought i was gonna have god level oso fingers to do this but damnnn its easy :D
i finally get it thank you now im going to practice it
This really helped me! Ty much :)
You my man, you are the GOAT, so may i wask can all chars wavedash or is that a mishima thing and how to do it on keyboard
OH MY FUCKING GOD
Game changing video. Thank you
why is it when I tap down inout it does a sidestep instead of a down back? is there something wrong with my computer or something else?
Damn this is different from mine. I backdash the same i wavedash as P2. This could help me for backdashing with characters that has swaying
For sure. It can be pretty hard to do consistently with back sway characters.
@@Brawndo5 that's true, since it already became a habit of mine. Thanks for the video good sir!
@@Brawndo5 who are the characters who do that? I'm not familiar. Btw, thanks for the video
awesome tutorial
whats the block for keyboard ? im trying to learn it but its impossible for me 😭
amazing!
Thank you!
ah nice. i was previously just doing bb d bb d. thx for this
Any tips on how to work on your tap down and tap forward repeatedly?
I started slowly to find the rhythm and then gradually sped it up. Something to remember as well is to time your down input with the release of the fwd, since it's the realease of fwd that gives you your back input. The timing can be a little weird at first, but you'll get it down. Also it works best with a mechanical keyboard. I could not for the life of me get it to work consistently on my membrane keyboard, but it's super consistent on a mechanical one. Hope this helps!
Also someone else in the comments mentioned they do both the down and fwd inputs with their index finger, so you might have better luck if you try that. Good luck!
Thanks for the subtiles!
Yo thanks for this bro. XD
My back and forward doesn't cancel out and i can't backdash like in the video. What's the problem with my keyboard?
I'm not sure. It might have to do with how many inputs your keyboard can register at once. The backdash didn't work on my old wireless membrane Logitech keyboard. I'm not positive why, but I think when I pressed more than one button at a time, it had some kind of input delay. My wired mechanical keyboard does it just fine.
There's something called anti-ghosting keyboards.
www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1038401/
But ghosting has to do with pressing 6 or more buttons, and for the back dash you're pressing 3 at most. So I don't know. It could be a lag or input issue based on your model of keyboard. I'm sorry it doesn't work for you.
@@Brawndo5 yep ur right... had the same problem.. bought a mechanical keyboard :) HAPPY NOW
The issue isn’t ghosting. Ghosting is when typewriters would accidentally add inputs when typing too fast. This is called key rollover. Most membrane keyboards have 2 or 3 key rollover, so pressing 3 or 4 inputs at a time will not register the final input because the keyboard isn’t built to handle it. Mechanical keyboards usually don’t have this problem. If you can’t get a new keyboard, remapping buttons to the numpad might help since some keyboards have it as an independent entity from the rest of the keys.
nice, thanks!
While holding down back do you press down then forward twice?
So its
b, n, b, d, f, f, d, f, f ...
or
b, n, b, d, f, d, f ...
Hold back the entire time. When you press forward while holding back, that will give you your neutral input, and when you release f, that will give you your back input.
So while holding back:
F f (2 forwards to get the 1st backdash) d f d f d...
WTF boi is genius
May I ask you how do you bind your attack button?
right now tell me how did you play on the keyboard? please
did it stop working, i just cant do it
thanks man
Can I do backdash on membrane keyboard as I have no mech. Keybaord
I have one question about using keyboard. Do you struggle with inputs like 1+2 or 3+4? Because it was waaay easier on a pad, and in keyboard it has to be pushed nearly perfectly because otherwise the input is read as 1,2 instead of 1+2. I'm wondering whether it is my keyboard issue, or keyboards in general
Occasionally on stick or keyboard I do mess up 1+2 inputs. This is not uncommon on those peripherals though. I suspect the window for + inputs is smaller than a lot of players are expecting. After a while I just set a macro for 1+2 and 3+4 lol.
@@Brawndo5 okay, thanks for the reply. I wanted to avoid setting another keys for 1+2 and 3+4. It requires to rewire muscle memory as well. I will give a try to a new keyboard anyway because I just need new one in general. I wish there were some settings where a player could choose the time window for 1+2 to suit his gameplay. I have also seen a tread on steam forum that a guy had similar issue with those inputs and what's really interesting is that this issue occurred only in Tekken. No problem in MK with 3+4.
@@Brawndo5 I bought last week a low profile, mechanical keyboard with full n-key roller or antighosting, I don't know, maybe both or it is the same thing. Anyway, no more issues with 3+4 etc. I execute them every time without any problems. I've never played Tekken with such responsive "controller". It's so responsive that now I feel like I should slowdown becasue the game sometimes does not catch up with the inputs I'd like to execute :D
@@7Andy77 Could it be that your old keyboard had a low limit for simultaneous key presses?
@@giobelen No, even a very cheap keyboard is able to process 2 keys at once. It was simply how this cheap membrane keyboard worked with Tekken. It required extreme precision for such inputs.
Thank you
You’re welcome egg
imo the korean backdash is way easier on keyboard
it is especially on sway characters
THANK YOU HOLY SHIT
Nice
Thank you! I'm happy my video could help.
U got any tips for backsway characters like Paul ?
The input should be the same if you time the inputs properly I THINK? I tried to with nina and it worked.
2 days passed and I can't get it.
LOLW IM USING THIS IN TEKKEN 3
How did you get your keyboard working on ps4
This is on PC
This is so much harder than just doing it normally
im hold A and DDS , DDS , DDS not DS DS DS why? bro
seems easy for Eliza players
im curious about your keyboard layout can you share it please?
I use the default layout. So just WASD for directions and whatever the default keys are for 1 2 3 and 4.
is this legit? i told someone this method and they said this is slower than the proper method
Damn i feel bad because i still don't understand.
tf i cant do that on my keyboard i think i need to master that backdash
It might depend on what kind of keyboard you're using. I tried it on a wireless logitech keyboard, and it wasn't working. Tried it in my mechanical keyboard, and it worked just fine.
On shitass low price keyboards, you can input 2 keys at once, so if you have ps/2 keyboard, or just well priced keyboard without any restrictions use it, or buy it
You can find cheap mechanical keyboards on ali and that sort of sites
You need a keyboard with key roll over. Otherwise it won't register multiple keys at the same time (key buffering).
Can u do ewgf on keyboard guide
That is not a bad idea. Give me some time. I will look into it. Though I feel I should mention I'm not a Mishima player, so my perspective might not be as valuable.
f,n,d,df2
Press forward, then down and hold, then forward again while still holding down, finish with2(on the same frame as the last forward)
Thanks
@@sushilurade9503 another trick wich is just easier for me that i learned from someone else and i play WASD/numpads. made me go from 0/100 electricks til 10 in a row no sweat.
go into option then button mapping. pick controller1 if thats the one youre using then:
bind LS to lets say numpad 7 and 9.
Then go to controller 2 and bind Y or '2' to numpad 8
when in practise mode i press Foward then Down then Down+numpad8,9 at the same time.
Hope this made sense :D.
@@atriuz950 thanks
yo what, how does this even work? I'm super confused, I'm doing it like double tap A, release, S, SA, release, A, S, SA...
and you doing it by pressing forward? what exactly am I missing?
oh forget, got it now, you get a neutral by pressing the two keys at the same time
You got it. A+D equals neutral.
Wasd? Nah bro. Arrow keys are better
I also play on keyboard but my regular KBD is much faster and cleaner than this easier version
How do you do it?
@@awaisakram8573 Following
its so dump that i cant on ps4
Left + Right = Neutral
No shit, why didnt I realise it 2 days ago?
so exactly the same but pressing one more button, ok
WAT
Looks easier lol
Hahaha it really is.
This shit must fixed forever in tekken.
Thanks for this video, is slim keyboard work too backdash cancel?
Honestly I don't know. I'm not entirely sure why it works with some and not with others. Could be a limit on the number of inputs or maybe a delay.
From what I know and heard, it works with mechanical keyboards. It could also work with membrane keyboards, but that hasn't been my experience, and I don't know why.
Good news I play on the internet shop in membrane keyboard slim a Backdash cancel Hold the B then D B repeat it's work Thank you again
The repeat rate is differently programmed on keyboards. My mechanical keyboard has the option to repeat input on hold, adjust the speed of the inputs, the timing of when it starts repeating as well as disable the repeat and you must release the switch and press down again. Some may be adjustable in software while mine is hardware and works without software.
@@karafuru7666 interesting. I never knew that. That could give definitely give people trouble. Thanks for sharing!
Doesn't work on ps4 since it only registers one command at a time
can you even use keyboard on ps4 version?
@@azza8517 i think he uses a mixbox
its so hard hahaha
