- A Complete Guide to Creating a Photo Manipulation Composite in Photoshop! Right from selecting to changing the background, creating the shadow, matching the subject and applying special effects and filters, we are going to cover each and every step, one-by-one.
First off, we will learn how to make precise selections using the Pen Tool. Then, along with some minor adjustments and fine-tuning, we will change the background.
Next, we will learn a simple way to create a shadow that looks realistic. To make the subject match with the background, we will use Levels, Curves, and few other Adjustment Layers to blend the subject into the scene.
In the end, we will learn how to apply some global special effects along with some filters and flares to that makes the elements of the composite come together as one whole image.
I hope this tutorial helps. Thank you for watching :)

With the sun barely over the horizon, the biker's shadow would have been much, much longer and softer. Otherwise, amazing work as always.
The final result is very impressive, but I would have used a Displacement Map on the subject shadow to give it a little more realism.
Donny Helvey No sorry, I can't. I can, however, try to explain it.
Using the original background image that is underneath the main subject's shadow, 1) copy the BACKGROUND image into a new document, 2) Desaturate it, 3) use Levels to give it just a slight more contrast, 4) Gaussian Blur it a very small amount, 5) save this document as a .PSD file, 6) now, on your original composite image, select the bike SHADOW, 7) convert it to a Smart Object, 8) go to the Displacement filter, and 9) apply the .PSD file you just saved to that. Keep adjusting the Displacement filter until it looks more realistic. Add a slight Gaussian Blur to the bike's shadow just to reduce any jagged edges that might look rough to you. This blur step is optional.
This all sounds far more complicated than it really is.
plz how to make shadows in photoshop big fan of yours!
sorry bro. this is hard to watch. the audio is not syncing!
i am also facing this :(
