I’ve beaten the original in GC a couple times dozen times and the remake is beautiful, I even had RE4 on the iPhone back in the day lol so to say it’s my favorite game of all time is an understatement, so I watch any content about it, and you do a damn fine job, keep it up, you got a good style and deserve more subscribers, got one outta me

This game was definitely awesome. My only complaint is that it felt a bit too long for the sort of game it was.
Also, love the doodles throughout the video!
Fair thought, but if you just kept the main path, you could at most spend 4 hours on it on standard, 4 hours 30 mins on hardcore, I feel everything else was structured so you’d spend as much time as you want in it, that’s my opinion tho, showing how masterfully thought out it all was

While I can see how someone could say that the game is a little too long if you look for everything I personally thought the length was perfect. Not too short and not too long. Perfect length for me to want to replay it from time to time

Ashley in the OG also runs away and follows leon around quite well and only is a problem in very specific areas like the water room in the castle.

You make it sound like "The Mercenaries" is new to the remake, while it was actually in all versions of the original as well.
That said, playing a new version of it got interesting. shame about dlc, though, but I guess it can no longer be avoided
I wasn’t aware that that mode was in the original version too! That makes me appreciate the series even more knowing that it’s always had content like this. I only heard about this kind of game mode in the revelations games that I want to play one day too.
Next time I’m gonna try to do more research into the history of a remake rather than just what it is as I think that is something I can work on in my videos. Thank you for bringing that up!
To be more specific, the first "mercenaries" mode was Extreme Battle in RE2 which functions a bit differently than the mercs mode most people know now.
