From sunny, hot and humid central Florida. I have the pearls and found them a bit more difficult to work with. I failed to seal my panels, made greeting cards and noticed the ink scratches really easily. Will try the canned air and also sealing. Thanks for great demo! Love your work.
I’m ready to place an order for three individual pearls, to go with my regular stash. They look so cool! Glad you mentioned that alcohol will cause the inks to turn matte. I learned that one, a while back. I’ll work on Yupo, until I can try some of the new papers by Ranger. Thanks for all your videos on alcohol inks, Jane.
Ugh, I’m so done with winter too! It’s getting warmer in Michigan now tho, yay! I’m just starting out with ai and just got a bunch of the jacquard brand but I’m loving them so much I’ll be adding more and more colors and brands for sure! Tyfs! I’m thinking that I can kinda diy something like this tho using my ink and mica powders. We shall see! Oh and ty for the info regarding the difference I might expect when using blending solution vs straight alcohol. I hadn’t figured that out yet.
Lovely video! I do have a hard time with my pearl inks.... I shake them well... for like minutes... but still get blobs of mica powder... do you have a suggestion how I can get rid of these? 😘😘😘
Hi Jane! Thanks for the video with the new products from Ranger, look forward to using them! Have an issue trying to find the right spray varnish as I have ruined many a painting. We cannot get the Krylon products here in Denmark or Europe and hopefully some day we will. I will have to pick up some next time I am in Canada. In the meantime I thoroughly enjoy your videos and admire your work! 🌟😊😘🌟😊👌😘😘😘
I know that life, family, and such gets in the way. You’ve been a HUGE inspiration to me. Some family members have requested pieces.... Twelve pieces so far are in the works and I couldn’t be happier to have such a wonderful outlet! Keep up your beautiful work. Blessings to you from Music City, U.S.A.
I am excited to try the alcohol ink pearls . I just received them and will be playing with them this weekend! Your work is beautiful, and I love watching your videos ! You are a great inspiration!
Hi Jane I’m just starting out with AI and am very excited to learn all about it. Thanks for your explanations and teachings it’s always appreciated so much 😊
Hi i have 3 alcohol inks for about 6 months but dont really know how to use but i love everyone else art with them but i dont know how to use. I dont have upo (dont know how to spell) i only have photo paper. Can i use that and how do i use and what do i do?
practice using way less ink and more alcohol on tiles. Ceramic tiles are about 12 cents each. If you don't like the results wipe off with alcohol rag. Resin them and they can be coasters. I like MyriamsNatue on YT she does about the best alcohol ink demos I have ever seen. Good luck
Hey Jane....from London, Ontario....I know, not to far from you, eh! I am waiting for my Pearl Alcohol Inks to arrive. Every year I watch many Creativation YT videos to see all the new product that's coming out. So, of course I had to watch the man, Tim Holtz, as he was demoing and when I saw these pearl inks, I immediately ordered them. You can also order their Black Matte Cardstock, which I believe a lot of the online stores are carrying now, but I ordered mine from SSS. I would say I'm a newbie to alcohol inks as I haven't had much time to play with them, only because I've been concentrating on other things at the moment. Now don't get me wrong because I LOVE my alcohol inks; I was getting too overwhelmed and delving into too many mediums and decided that I needed to concentrate on one at a time before moving onto the next LOL. I am looking forward to taking a few of your classes in the near future and in the meantime, I will be watching all of your YT tutorials. Thanks, so much, sweetie!
I live in tropical Sunshine Coast in Australia. Let;s house swap as it is way too hot and muggy here. I have got my alcohol inks sitting there waiting for me to get them out and play for the first time. Am a newbie and saw your videos and just had to order some.
Just what I needed to see, you answer a lot of my questions. Thanks great video.
I just made my first coasters using your technique. Your instructions worked beautifully. Wish I could upload pictures.

Hi Jane I’m just starting out with AI and am very excited to learn all about it. Thanks for your explanations and teachings it’s always appreciated so much 😊
Ive been playing around with alcohol inks but am yet to find my style! Cant seem to
I watched your video about painting on ceramics with the saran wrap technique. Would these inks work for that also?
I bet you could get a similar effect with mixing perfect pearls with the inks.
I love the look of alchohol ink, but I havent started yet. I'm looking for a great deal on them.
Yay!!!! Where can we buy at retail???
Gail Resources if you’re in Canada then Shades of Clay. In the U.S. you can get them from Simon Says Stamps, Joggles, scrapandstamp are a few
Jane Monteith Thank you! That’s been the problem since Michaels and Joanns, the two big chains here in the U S stopped carrying them. :(
Oh, I'm from Victoria, Canada!
Beautiful love alcohol ink art
Your work is beautiful.
I’m a beginner. So tutorials for newbies are appreciated 🙂

Who else can’t wait to test these out with resin? 😍
Hiya! I'm new to AI and I'm finding there's tons to learn, and I'm especially interested in resin to protect/preserve one's work.
Hi from Western Australia 😀
I've been painting for three years with AI, love it. Here are a couple of my paintings.
Man, i wish my birthday was a little further out than tomorrow so i could ask for some.
this video gave me anxiety, it feels like you are rushing! You do beautiful work! These paints are gorgeous!
Jeannine Summers LOL it was a live on my Instagram and I had low battery so wanted to fit in all in just in case it died. 😆
