I was always trying to save and wrap the soft areas of my locs but when I wash my locs it would come off anyway..so now I just cut it if it feels too soft.
Question: when you find a damaged loc and you want to trim the weak spot off how far up from the spot should you trim off? Can you trim right above it or do you have to trim a certain way above it to prevent the same damage or notification of damage in the future?
My problem is that I sweat in my hair; so much so I began to scratch my scalp and make it sore. I have 13 locs my daughter’s friend didn’t combine my hair correctly so I had to cut my hair getting rid of the “dragon locs “. Can you recommend what to do with your hair when you sweat in your head entirely too much
Over moisture can also weaken locs. So make sure your hair gets dry.

Moisturize your scalp. Wash your hair more. Change shampoos. Head and Shoulders shampoo should help.
Knott it up...
Why not repair it with hair and the crochet needle instead of cutting it off? The repair will not be detectable at all.
