When I went to school, it was so I'd be able to afford a helicopter one day. I'm still waiting on one day...
When I was stationed at Ft Devens with the 10th Special Forces Gp, I flew down to the Sikorski factory in Connecticut with our aviation section to take a tour of the factory. The Blackhawk was just coming into the system and we go to see them building these new aircraft. Was quite an operation! Never forget looking inside a freshly built one and everyone’s reaction was the same-“ this thing smells exactly like a brand new car!”

My helicopter will never have carbon fiber parts, it will be all made of real material- aluminium alloys! Who said the fiber is cheaper and better than the real material? The process of production is much complicated and more expensive. Lighter? Really? Maybe 10% lighter so what the point?
