    I watched your video some time ago and decided to buy 2, based on your comments. Just wanted to let you know that you were absolutely spot on. We love them! We would have been unhappy with the weight of the 3.0 and we don't feel that we've given up anything. The Lite is simple, nimble, and a joy to ride. Thank you for helping us towards this wise decision.

    Nice video, Paul! I got the blue XP LITE a couple weeks ago for the same reasons you did. I’m 66 years old and the same height as you. Glad you mentioned your height so that others would know that it’s not a problem. I unfolded mine out of the box and have not yet folded it back up, so thanks for showing the process! I dig both of your cover ideas. I’m not a full time nomad but I do work and sometimes travel in my Casita camper pulled by my Chevy truck. The XP Lite is a great addition to the fleet! Glad I found your channel! Tommy

    What a great review. As an XP 1.0 owner, I have been on the look out for a bike for my wife's sister who wants to join us on our rides. I choose for my wife a lighter Volt Urban (XP Lite was not available at the time) which she loves. My one concern was that the smaller motor might be a problem but you eliminated that concern by your throttle zoom around the campsite. The lighter weight and extra color options make the XP Lite a perfect choice for her! :Thanks again.

    • @tumbleweeds22
      @tumbleweeds22  Рік тому +1

      Thanks Chris, glad it helped. The smaller motor is working out fine for us, you still need to pedal, but that was the whole point for, we still wanted some exercise, just not too much, haha!! Hope your wife's sister likes it if you decide to get one. We are still loving our XP Lites. Its good to know the 1.0 is still going good. We appreciate you watching and commenting :)

    My hubby and I have the lite and we love them. Ride them all the time. Take them to the camp grounds and they are so much fun. The price, quality, weight and folding ability is what made us choose them. We just didn’t need the 2.0 or some of the other bikes that are so expensive. (Love the cruise control too)

    As an owner of a XP Lite I couldn’t agree more with the points you made. The thing I like most about the Lite is it’s simple, no suspension( doesn’t need it) no gears (low maintenance and less weight) and you can actually fold it and put in the trunk because it’s so much lighter and smaller. It has all the power I need, actually more. I shopped and compared for a long time before buying, was almost ready to buy an Eventon Sinch but I’m so glad I bought this instead, the Eventon has great reviews but I don’t want a heavy bike.

    Been watching fold e bikes reviews / reading…I am going full time in my converted Ford Transit this upcoming fall……
    I like the bigger tires and more range of the full size Lectric ….but it seems like a monster and very clumsy and heavy
    To unfold and fold to put back in my van on regular basis , and I do not want a bike rack ever….I am pretty fit for 55
    Years old man but again the full size Lectric I am afraid would become a pain in the A** really quick .
    Similar ride style here and have no desire to go fast so this review got me thinking again about the Lectric Lite.

    I got the lite for the exact same reasons! Ease of transport in a car was very important to me. So far I am loving it (and I also got the comfort seat and cargo pack (which was delivered right away). I like the seat but haven't put the cargo stuff on yet...I'm wondering how that will impact the ease of folding/weight, etc. I wonder if I will end up taking it off to transport? Time will tell. :)

    • @amyarnelle
      @amyarnelle Рік тому +1

      PS: I fit it in the backseat floor of my Honda Sedan with the passenger seat all the way forward. I would also work on the seat of the backseat or the trunk. To make it lighter, you can always remove the batter and even the seat. :)

    Questions:
    1) How is the step-over height getting on the bike?
    2) How is just having one gear? Do you find you 'spin out' at higher speeds? I.e. when going 20mph, can you actually pedal - or do you have to just rely on the throttle?

    • @tumbleweeds22
      @tumbleweeds22  Рік тому +1

      The step-over height is not an issue for me or my wife. The single gear is a little limiting and does spin out at higher speeds downhill, but uphill you still need to peddle in Assist 5. As mentioned, the XP2.0 is the better bike, but the XP Lite suited our needs.

    The most important consideration for those who would like to purchase an E bike? Are there bike shops willing service them when required and ease of obtaining parts. Imagine what could happen if you lose or misplace your charger. Can you get another one easily? Incidentally, “fupped off” is putting it lightly.

    Got the xp a year ago, the one with 7-speeds and front suspension. I tied some wire baskets on it to do grocery shopping. It makes it easy to remove the baskets. No need to get the heavy cargo baskets they sale. 20 MPH is more than fast enough for a bike. Most of the time I am around 12 MPH and peddle assist for exercise.
