- Kobe Bryant is the NBA’s third all-time leading scorer. He holds the second highest single scoring game in NBA history. Stats. Records. Glory. You’ve all read that stuff before. You know what goes on here.
As a little tribute to his final season, I went over a few Lakers games (they were not great on the eyes; 17-65 never is), and gathered a few clips of what is often the most requested Kobe video I haven’t made yet. I will probably make a more expansive one at some point, but here’s the stuff from this season. Enjoy!

@@am3818 17th season and looking like that, I would've almost suspect some kind of PED/HGH usage if it wasn't for the big weight loss, infamous Olympic training regimen and healed surgery. Maybe we're being a bit hyperbolic about how athletic he was in 2012-13 but he did look great.

Kobe post mid range game was beautiful to watch. He had beautiful footwork and learn it from Hakeem.
To be a great midrange shooter, you must be able to hit contested shots, and you must have the ability to create just enough space to be able to get the shot off without it getting blocked. Kobe mastered this style of play.
So many technical artistic moments. The subtle differences in his turn around when needed. He could turn really sharp, crisp, mj like, or be fluid like water and smooth, like Reggie Miller. Such technical chess precision. How he'd put his foot into his opp knee just slightly enough to get spacing but not enough to lose his balance or get an O foul. Sheesh. /Salute Kobe.
That mid range game is crucial when father time decides to come. Both MJ and Kobe perfected it.
Such a great farewell tour. During the games all anyone had to talk about was Kobe. It was crazy how literally nobody would talk about anything other than Kobe

One of the most under appreciated aspects of athleticism in the game of basketball is balance. He has such incredible balance. Even on his misses, his feet are always in the right position. His hand placement is in point. You can see the effect of the thousands of reps. When other guys take these shots it doesn’t even look close to the same. They’re taking a different looking shot every time. It’s really incredible how consistent everything is with his form

If you look at the great, most athletic, hyper-superstars the NBA ever had, they all started with mediocre jumpshots. But, towards the end, the were still able to produce at a high level because they replaced the athleticism with immaculate jumpers.
