@@redhunter9669 Eldlich is a heavy control deck that revolves around stunning your opponent from doing what they can do to win. You typically run an Eldlich deck with cards like Skill Drain (monsters have no effects on field), Summon Limit (players can only summon twice per turn), Vanity's Emptiness (players can't special summon) and Imperial Order (players can't activate spell cards) in order to stop your opponent from doing anything. Eldlich only has one monster in the archetype which is called Eldlich, the Golden Lord, and he can be searched through various cards in the archetype and can bring himself back from the Graveyard pretty much every single turn.

Eldlich is so funny to fight against. On one hand, getting past an entire backrows worth of interruptions is annoying, but succeeding in getting past it and watching them try in vain to make a comeback to the point where they forget to read your cards is one of the greatest joys you can feel. Especially when you play a low tier deck like Blue-Eyes.

I was playing against an eldlich deck using traptrix. 10/10 the eldlich player can't do anything since _immune to traps_ and I basically negated everything they played out of pure spite.

i know this doesnt have to do anything with the video, but i'm a naturia fan, i want to build a naturia deck, but since naturia's main deck is garbage i want to make a naturia traptrix deck. is there anything i should know about traptrix?
I've had... several unpleasant experiences with Traptrix, but you gain my respect for destroying Eldlich
I play witchcrafters and got setup before with a negate destroy effects and you can only target this card with destroy effects along with adding atk and def by revealing spells and just kept negating his effects by discarding a single spell I get back by the end of the turn which then turned into “you attack?” boom effect now you take 4k reflect damage and your eldlich dies then they have the eldlich summon again and I do that same shit with the atk boost and double attacks with collaboration making it impossible for him to activate effects when I declared my attacks

Fun isn't something one considers when playing against Eldlich, but this haha does put a smile on my face.
Fun for me when I face them because Eldlich himself coming out isn't the problem for my deck. When I get to shut down Eldlich's floodgates, they can't stop me from winning, so it becomes a beautiful sight.
Or just play Subterrors. That will stop Eldlich because you can banish all 3 copies of eldlich, stop the floodgates, and There Can Be Only One means absolutely nothing to Subterrors

Like, I get why everyone is overly toxic towards eldlich, but there's more archetypes to hate on and the eldlich hate is already getting kinda boring
I once beat Eldlitch with Ojamas. I stalled for like 22 turns and then he hit my face which turned out to be his face after I activated Dimension Wall. After a full game of removing traps and spells people kinda think you ran out of good traps.

@@wocxdid8068 I laughed pretty hard for the entire match. He finally gets a chance to summon his Cheeto Man and I activate a trap that fills his free monster spaces with tokens. I'm sure he was so tired of it all that he ignored the last trap I placed. It was some funny shit for sure.
@@TabbuEme i also beat an eldlich deck user using a somewhat decent synchro deck mainly focused on junk archetype. He was using imperial order and i inflicted small amount of damage which made his lifepoints multiple of 700 . Then using high defence monster and 2 scrapiron scarecrow i was defending myself. When he had 700 lp left, he surrendered. That was my 3rd rank match in the entire game.
@@pulastochoudhury5319 I like bringing non-meta decks to ranked. Obviously if there was a non-ranked mode I would bring it there exclusively, because it would increase the chance of me facing a non-meta deck, but we can only really play ranked. Kinda dumb how they didn't add a non-ranked mode aside from the lobby system which has players that don't want to play with you most of the time.

I have never went against an Eldlich deck before as I am a returning player who just looked at the development from afar. I stopped around when pendulum summoning started becoming a thing, but that didn't mean that I was not up to date. Three days ago I finally faced an Eldlich deck on Master Duel, and actually defeated it after 20 turns..... with a Melffy deck..... The duel reached a point to where we were re-enacting Re:Zero season 2 starring Eldlich as Subaru and Kalantosa as the rabbit hoard that ate everything.
That's insanely funny, I bet that guy had a blast with those 20 turns. But the idea of an eldlich player enjoying the game irks me

One of my favorite games of Master Duel is when I stalled an Eldrich deck for 10 turns with Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon with only 550 lp for about half the game. I made a Eldrich player cry that day and I'm proud.
The fact they tried to use the Eldlich eff to send your monster to the grave WHILE IT'S ALREADY EQUIPPED to the Millennium Eyes just demonstrates that the people who play Eldlich are actually just bots

@@brandonfalcon236 As an someone who's played the game for 20+ years, it's painfully apparent that very few people play for the long game anymore. Because when I crashed my "The Dark Magicians" into one of the Trap Monsters after he dropped it's attack to 0 and got my "Dark Magician" and "Dark Magician Girl" has a result; I nuked him with "Dark Burning Magic"; swung for 5100 (had two other DM in my grave); passed; then banished Eldlich when he tried retrieving it with "Called by the Grave"; he scoops. 🤷🏿♂️

@@brandonfalcon236 I just let people "jizz on the field" as I like to call it and call it a day. The only thing I don't care for is having to wait so long for people to finish vomiting their entire deck on the field where they no doubt watched a UA-cam video on how to play it. I beat an Adamancipator deck with Resonators because after burning through every boss monster they had, they summoned special summoned three monsters in attack position and passed. Had they summoned them in defense position they would've gotten another turn. Going full YuGi-Boomer here, but Players these days don't even have a grasp on the basics.

I've banished both with nekroz of trishula
while playing nekroz dogmatika. But he made omega off of an ash and a lvl 5 next turn and then during my standby phase returned it. I couldn't do much during my turn because he had hand traps then he otked me with accesscode :/

I've been putting off getting the last few cards I need for a Relinquished deck but I think this finally sold me on it.
I use a pure Endymion deck with no trap cards. Just today, an Eldich player sent my Endymion away before activating both Skill Drain and Imperial Order.
This video was very cathartic for me.
I usually include Royal Decree and Soul Drain in my Endymion deck

@@shadowspector3611 I guess it depends on how the deck is built, but I use 2 of each (Royal Decree and Soul Drain) in the deck, thus leaving me with 36 cards which are enough for me to include all the cards I need.
You should try Shark's deck with C101 in it, so in case the other guy is a dickhead and summons very good monsters, you can just do "yoink" and turn them into your xyz materials

honestly I hate drytron more, at least with eldlich there's a grind you can overcome, Drytron basically wins turn 1 and says "only I get to play yugioh, you get to witness"

@@willburning6955 Because Eldlich is a braindead deck that that uses floodgates to win that's why. And personally I prefer to play against an "oppressive combo deck" that makes a bunch of negates than play against Eldlich. And not only "oppressive combo decks" lose against that bullsh1t of a card called Skill Drain. Any deck that needs their monster effects on the field does.
And here I thought crooked cook was annoying but eldlich is on a whole nother level of annoying.
Hell atleast I can out do that with just piecing damage but with eldlich with the deck I use, It's just straight quit at this point if I have to go second.
@@willburning6955 My deck is a fucking synchro deck that focuses on getting my equip monsters out into my graveyard so i can summon Phoenix to steal my enemies and to have an immortal synchro that can't be destroyed by battle, targeted for effects or effected by effects that can destroy 1 monster for free per battle phase.
Easier said than done btw. I rarely get all 3 normally its just 2 of those 3.

What I always learn from many times dueling the formidable duelists is they could pull the best summon or summon combo at the first turn and if their summon got destroyed, somehow they will recover it gradually or use the different summon as duel goes by. Even though I lose to them, their move and strategy still entertains me. But not with these Eldbitch players, they usually are dependent as fu©k to their triplets.

Honestly, there's nothing scary about Eldlich deck. True horror is when you're up against Herald deck with Eva and Benten, or a flawless number 86 users
Yea depends on deck amd if ppl bring enough backrow removal / u can banish the golden lord, eldlich isnt that scary. But most meta decks kinda barely bring any so they died to the floodgates lol.
Def lot more counters than fighting damn rhongobongo which u cant even kaiju / sphere. At least u can still kaiju / sphere / droplets / DRNM herald.
I dunno dude, not being able to use monster effects or spells on your first turn leads to a pretty unwinnable gamestate for a lot of decks

Christ, this was SO satisfying to watch. Eldlich players are the bane of my existence in Master Duel.

Agreed, but for what it's worth, they are more fun to battle than Dryton or any of those annoying OTK decks that lock your board turn 1, acting like they are the smartest players. They're just lazy cowards. Face my deck and read my card effects like a MAN!!

I doubt they will touch eldlich...they are easily counterable...play evenly and it is almost auto win...why people don t do that? They need desperately hand traps to not auto lose turn 1...without these oppressive combo players(the worst are ftk players) where you auto lose instantly people can't afford that...people complaining for eldlich while they could easily use cards against them but don't because oppressive combo decks are much worse... playing far less hand traps but 3x evenly(they overpower even imperial order) x2 called and harpy feather/storm...how eldlich really can win? They are slow they need time to do 8k damage we have time to draw cards lethal for them

@@willburning6955 the amount of times I've called by their golden lord and on their turn they try to activate his effect and then they just scoop is crazy. Eldlich isn't to bad of a matchup as long as you throw some side deck cards into the main.

I just started playing MD, but before even touching it I already knew these eldlich spams will popping out like crazy
Recently tried an Eldlich + Vampire deck against , coincidentally, a pure Eldlich deck
Ended up losing on turn 16, but it was really close and a TON of fun honestly
2 years later and I’m happy that edlich is not anymore meta
