Yep Stardust Dragon Assault mode's effect is not "once per turn" it can sacrifice itself and immediately comeback

@@juksleo6257there was a popular version with Topologic Bomber co linked to Knightmare Cerberus and Amaryllis with the regular Stardust that could work with Assault Mode as well.
In TCG since this is banned, I believe you can just use Zombie world and "bone tower" something that mills your opponent's deck when a Zombie is summoned for a deckout ftk

well not ACTUALLY infinite since after activation he is in grave so yeah during the endphase it would be infinte
@@Zanji1234 Games actually lasted more than 5 turns back when Assualt Mode was a thing, and Stardust was a very reliable way to shut down most removal. Even a "Once Per Turn" negate back then was huge.
@@SoulHero7 Dude i played during that time, i was 25 or so. Stardust Dragon was played as a one off in every deck so players "got used to it" either by running over it or luring the player for an activation. Also some mained Divine Wrath and / or DD Crow.
Assault Mode had also Problems with bricking (with Dragunity) and a Effect Veiler on your normal summon kinda shut down your turn. (i played that deck during that time in locals and also TRIED to play it on higher level but most players really knew how to get around it). Gladi Heraklinos was kinda more "evil" since you could negate more with him
it was strong but not a "infinite" negate or Tier 0 :)
@@SoulHero7it's crazy, I didn't think assault mode was all that good. I remember when they came out back in the day (I didn't play then, I mostly collected) and I didn't think they would be that good; I figured it was one of those things that was just too inconsistent to pull off a lot to be worth it.
The Torrential Tribute reveal and then the Ratatouille reading part had me howling with laughter. Same with the Trident Dragon moment. Cat, this is one of your funniest edits yet, incredible work here!

Except in 2010 they had infernities so....

@@dyaztama1364 it depends what part of 2010 you play. if you play post edison which most people don't then ya. But Edison format which is the most popular older format of Yugioh doesn't have infernities as a deck.

Dragunity Assault mode was NOT tier 0 back then. Quickdraw Dandy was WAY more successful.

I remember playing thousands of hours at yugioh WCS 2011 Over the nexus. Finished it at 100%. It was perfect. Then my DS broke and couldn't play yugioh anymore so i stopped. I started getting interested in yugioh recently and when i saw what the game became i fell off my chair... 2010 meta was THE shit

I just made a Qadar Time Thief Deck in Master Duel that semi-Mills the opponent (Redoer & Quartet) and can burn for 3-4K on the opponent's STANDBY PHASE ( with a side of Volcanic Scattershot for flavor)

and 2 Standby Phases of setup, I dealt 9K+! Unaffected unless you negate the Summon! 0_0
UPDATE: A Counter Fairy player didn't negate the Summon, but tried to negate the effect, then ACTIVATED *SKILL DRAIN*
They surrendered in the Standby Phase when Quartet activated...

(FYI I trimmed it to 41 cards with Wannabee instead of Cursed Bill. 2 Quartets ate easier to survive if you get unlucky... XD )

Every time you used ravine twice and searched for dux first then used the second search to send phalanx to grave, my soul bled a little.
You add phalanx to hand first then discard phalanx to search dux so you don’t needlessly discard two useful cards like both mirror force and monster reborn, come on man. Assault Mode ain’t *that* good.

This card can ONLY work in 2010. Nowadays, Ash Blossom exists. Ain't nothing worse than playing "Assault Mode Activate" just to get Ash Blossomed and be left with absolutely nothing.

OH FUCK YEAH xD i played this kind of deck back then. I love Dragons so i played mostly only Dragon Decks and when Dragunity came out i loved them. And then after a while i tried adding the Assault Mode because it's kinda easy to get him out :D but it was kinda easily countered and you had some really bad bricks so it was definityl NOT a tier 0

That was one of my favourite cards. It can counter everything and using this deck or the newer deck it can be easily summoned. But after some time I didn’t play the game much since. I tried to play once when link monsters were flying around, too hard for me to catch up.
This event got me like: _"LET'S GO 3 TERRAFORMING BABYYY, IMMA PLAY EARTH MACHINE!!!!!"_
And at the end I was like: _Oh yeah this is not master rule 1 anymore so this deck sucks ass_
