I am 51 and have lived with this since I was a teen. I don't have a Dr and the pain is so bad, mentally. It's terrible.

My wife is 38 and a non-diagnosed BPD. She takes Prozac for "depression" and refuses to seek therapy. Subsequently, I and my two sons, 11 and 17, are in therapy. I've really struggled with how best to explain to them why their mom is so, well, crazy. If you were to ask for advice I'd say, "Get help." If not for your sake but for the sake of those around you as well. I wish you the best. BPD is a hell of a thing but know that you can get better. You just have to want to badly enough.

i have it, my dad and sister both died because of it. I am no longer in tourment of it. i infact have inlvovled myself heavily with roganizations (municipal, govermental) it helping others with all types of mental issues. meds and education have helped me. talk to a doctor about Lamotrigin, Lyrica and an SSRI.

whipchick4ever only dbt helps. Stay away from psychiatry as much as possible. Meds not very helpful. Get dbt and avoid medication and psychiatry as much as possible.

I can hear you , i am the same and always contemplating suicide due to my incapability to function normal in life (no family, no job more than few months and i live in a country where there is no professional help) because of the tremendous pain in my heart. I am not sure how long could keep fighting. God help us and bless us all.

Michelle judd ... I am the same and I agree with you. Wish I had a magic wand for you. And I truly hope you find some measure of peace some day. I'd hope that for myself too but I've given up hope.

My wife recently committed suicide and I'm watching this video to try and understand why. If you are struggling with this please please reach out for help and know that people do care about you and love you. It devastates the family and friends you leave behind.

Big Island Stitches hard to get insurance to cover bpd treatment and most therapist don’t even have a clue about personality disorders but never give up 💕🙏🏻

Most often Doctors MD Phd Psych professionals from a language perspective have no real idea what they are speaking of as it pertains to Psychology as intelligently there are numerous gaps in their analysis which is dependent on their apriori foundations:
"relating to or denoting reasoning or knowledge which proceeds from theoretical deduction rather than from observation or experience.
"a priori assumptions about human nature"
"in a way based on theoretical deduction rather than empirical observation.
"sexuality may be a factor but it cannot be assumed a priori"

My wife used to cut herself - her wrists, her belly (because she thought she was fat (she wasn't)) with razor blades. That was 19 years ago. She has since routinely clipped her fingernails - every day. Could excessive fingernail clipping be considered a form of cutting?

Oberon Pan yes. A form of self-harm.

Trimming fingernails can be an "anti-cutting" measure. Some people use fingernails for self-injury, but if they are trimmed short, that's hard to do.

It's more of a body-focused repetitive behavior, but kind of similar especially if she's using it as a replacement for cutting. I've never cut but I have at least a dozen major BFRBs and have since young childhood. In adulthood I am better managing it to make sure I don't go too far.

If you are borderline make sure you can somehow get training so you can earn a living wage. (Good luck with that- since you've most like growing up with drug addicted psychopaths!) Learn to take care of yourself. Avoid psychiatry (full of big self protecting egos)

    • @frangipanivine
      @frangipanivine 3 роки тому +2

Not necessarily. My parents never used drugs and aren't psychopaths. Sure would be easier if I had something major to blame it on tho! (semi joking)
