May 2022, Pretty much followed your build and am at ~$4400 with a few minor parts to go this is including shipping costs. Not too bad. I really appreciate your videos and content! They have given me the motivation and drive to push out this build. This will be my third E-bike and first Enduro Ebike! Super excited and happy riding!
Great video and guide! I'm also going to add that if you are a bigger/taller person 200+ lbs then you will need a 700+ lb rated spring for that shock. The alarm system start key fob that comes with the kit is plug and play and works great as well.. Half the cost of what you would spend on an Onyx or Stealth bomber. Guys upgrading thier Surrons and Super73s are spending like 7-10k. I used a 12v DC to DC step down converter for cheap 12V Motorcycle headlights tail lights, and controls. Well worth it.
@@lucaspacheco3631 the seller only had a few and is sold out. You can search for the same model with 750lb spring. Em3ev used to sell them and also recommended 750lb shock for 200+lb riders. You might be able to adapt springs from different makers as well or buy direct from Dnm
Thanks to you I have finished my enduro ebike a while ago. It has a QS205 5T motor, sabvoton 72150 (unlocked) and magura mt5 brakes with magura mdr discs. While building it my controller and display fried and had to re-order those. 1month in and already crashed 2 times 🥲🥲 first time I accidentally gave gas in a corner and the other time my friend of mine looped it because he underestimated the torque it has. Really fun though. Maybe you could try out the 5 or 6t motor and compare that to your 3t motor. Really like your channel so far, hope you hit the 10k subs soon🤞
What top speed are you getting with the 5t motor? I’m pretty set on building one of these bikes, and would love to have low-end torque, but value a higher top speed.
Hey Tommy I was wondering if you ever had to deal with the free wheel on your bike I ordered a new back wheel and they shipped it to me with no free wheel on the back wheel and was wondering if you ever had to install one or take one off can you let me know buddy thanks for you time.
Is there anything else I'd need that isn't on your parts list?(besides the actual electric kit itself and tires I mean) I have the same frame as the one linked, but am yet to have built anything to it due to always working on my electric mountainboard lol. But I'm ready to start this coming friday!
Awesome video man! The kke front forks are worth a look in my opinion, cost 170$ or so, are way better then the zoom and look better in my opinion (black) Are you going to build the bike for that super car dude?
I found this video while researching for an ebike build of my own, I really enjoy your content! I have a 2ish mile stretch of highway I need to run on my commute to work with a 75 mph speed limit. What upgrades would you recommend to reach a 75-80 mph top speed?
Great video! i do have a question tho, the frame that you showed has a battery box but one of your vidoes shows the the frame without the battery box? is it a diff frame or can you take the battery box out? i appreciate it!
Fantastic information! I'm gathering the parts now and have the frame already (off Amazon) and was debating which shocks so thanks for your thoughts! BTW, you should be able to go into your controller settings and adjust the wheel radius - that will make your speedometer more accurate.
Hi all. Be aware that the NB power does not honor their warranty, and in case of any trouble when contacting their technical support you may receive totally unqualified help (which in my case burnt/shorted the whole system). I purchased the 72v 3000-5000w kit form NB Power for my Sondors Madmods Scrambler. The kit is this Sabvoton 80a controller (SVMC7280) paired iwth NP power's own motor, which they call fatmotor 3-5k. I asked for 4T winding to get more torque than speed (have lots of hills). I have a 72v batttery with 80a daly bms. The pack is built with 160pcs of p421 Molicells (21700) in a 20s8p configuration amounting to 72v 33.6 ah. I installed the setup and the bike was running beatiful for 20 minutes. I was a happy camper. Parked and the next day I tried the bike the wheel had constant drag and vibration (usually damaged hall sensor). Tried both hall sensors, same issue. Contacted NB power and their technician would not believe there was a probelm with the motor, despite the permanent drag and vibration (plus noise during operation, again, typical of hall sensor damage). The NB power technician kept asking to change some parameters and test again, changed ofset andgles several times, nothing helped. He eventually said the bike was working properly (despite drag and noise and vibration) and asked me to test ride it. During the testing immediately as I gave it throttle the display shut off and wouldn't turn back on. I had to connect and reconnect from the battery (I am using QS8 antispark connectors), but it gave a spark. Tried second time, and it gave a spark again, so I disconnected everything and tested my battery first with a multimeter. Battery tests ok, and the voltage matches what the daly bms displays through the bluetooth app. So now I tessted the controller and the positive and negative wires are short circuited. Also by running basic tests I can see the short circuit on the blue and green phase wires of the controller. NB power did not honor their warranty, though it has been on ly 5 months since purchase (just took me a while to build the battery pack, the kit actually worked only for 20 minutes). So beware that when buying from NB power you are taking a chance.
yea be careful, its a small chance to get a faulty product. My motor aint fault but it came with damaged rotor screws so i run the bike only on front brake😂
For the 300 bucks FOR A TIRE AND PLAIN RIM I brought a 1000 watt front hub motor wheel and controller and put a small 48 volt battery for power it don't need much power for the front wheel it is safer to not have too much power on the front wheel.. I am running 52 volts for the rear wheel the 80 amp Sabatran can run 52 to 72 volts in case I want to go faster My bike is built for distance not speed
Okay dude just got my charger for my new 2023 k5 8000w ebike and it's insane hits 55mph no problem and these much more that's in std mode 5 it's goes mode 9 full power will enjoy 273 ,3,5 t hub it's a beast sabouvt 200amp controller 72v 40amp
I just got my forks I ordered I previously ordered 2 other sets and I got refunded due to unable to ship. I ended up ordering a set of K K⚡E not cheep but Holy Crap they pretty sweet. Got them from NB Power they got here in 6 days. Getting closer piece by piece
this frame though does come with warnings ,it is not a fully seam welded frame there is alot of spot welding ,this frame is not an off road frame ,you can not jump it ,it will brake to make this frame fully of road we had to do alot of mods ,and redesign the suspension theres a short video on my page showing some of the upgrades, just be aware
I got the frame when it was 230usd I think. Carbon fiber handlebars that long as hell Shimano brakes s*** my nose break this 160 mm on my front rim is a normal 26 my back engine rim is a normal 26 inch my seats just a basic roll back seat my seat pole is suspension I didn't need this roller spacers I took it to track to correct the headset the spaces were like eight 86 or something like that the lights were 40 something in 20 something dollars I have a short or two shorts of the bike
