  • Along with jazz, jeans and Coca-Cola, the idea of celebrating Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May was invented in America. It was formalized by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914, but of course, the idea of a day to celebrate mothers has been around for millennia.
On this Mother's Day, enjoy the beautiful soprano voice of Leah Rose Fisher (Leah Sayad) singing William Daniel’s “Lullaby”. This song captures the sweet and quiet lullabies that are sung to Assyrian children. Leah loves to spend time and sing to her niece, Savannah. It’s important to Leah to pass down the Assyrian tradition to the next generation through her musical talents.
Happy Mother's Day to all mom's around the world.
