  • The Pardee Home (Oakland, California) home to three generations of the Pardee family. It was constructed in 1868 by California State Senator Enoch H. Pardee and is an excellent example of Victorian era (1837-1901), a villa to be exact. His son, George Pardee, a Governor of California also lived there. This video presents an introduction to the home and the family that played an important role in the history of California.

Thanks for the video. I've wondered if governor Pardee was a relative of mine and you filled in the blanks. I'm also a descendant of the immigrant George Pardee of New Haven. Now about the Winchester Mystery House. Was Sarah Pardee Winchester also a New Haven Pardee?
