I am split between getting a 20/21 5.7 4x4 with a front bench seat and saving money or going with a 24 1794 hybrid 4x4 trd/23 Capstone. Two completely different trucks I know, but they will both be daily drivers and tow rigs. The Toyota dealerships now offering 8-10k under msrp are starting to make the 3rd gens attractive and realistic of what the trucks are actually worth.
Btw, the gas mileage is 14.8 mpg so far with 751 miles on it, and I have a light foot. That matches my 2014 that averaged 14 mpg over 10 years, with a 2/3 inch lift with bigger AT tires.
I just got a 2024 1794 LE in white. I had a 2014 for 10 years but it bit the dust…or ice. Never had a problem with it and it always got looks, the thick leather still looked great. As soon as I got in a 2024, I immediately noticed The 2024 1794 leather is thin and cheap. It won’t weather well. Luckily they had a LE at this small dealership. They had it priced at $500 above invoice, so I bit the bullet. I agree that I’m skeptical about the TTV6. But I hope Toyota didn’t sacrifice their reputation on the alter of the EPA. I’m just gambling on that because I’m a Toyota fan. We’ll see. As a side note, the most irritating thing is these new vehicles shut off after 30 minutes. I was sitting in it and it told me to touch the brake to keep it running, and I did. Then it shut off after one hour. I asked the dealer about it and they said there is no override for that engine shutoff. Toyota either built these so that the engines are that delicate, or they are taking away driver autonomy for the EPA and soros. If I want to risk the engine to leave my dogs in the truck running for ac or heat, that should be my choice.
New 2019 limited crew max 4 by 4 was offered to me for 43k in 2019. My salary was 86k then. New limited now are 66k, my salary is up at 90k. How are we supposed to afford these now?
"Some great deals on an 80k truck!" They are ok, but not worth it. Wouldn't trade my 40k TRD Pro for anything with a V6. Guess I'll keep 'er. Bought it in 2017 based on your recommendation/channel...hasn't failed me yet and at 85k on the odometer...just broken in!
I got mine in San Marcos back in March. Easy to work with and I think I came away with a solid deal. Id rather deal with the people in San Marcos than Austin 🤷
I just dont like the new look, the older ones to me looked much better. These big boxy looking front ends just don't look good. Plus not being a v8 anymore, no thanks.
I like the way they look honestly but no V8 option seems to be the overwhelming factor for the sales not meeting expectations. The reliability issues keep on rearing its ugly head and according to Tinker’s vids they are going to be more in the future. I want Toyota to do well. But I just updated from my 2007 Crewmax with just over 292,342 miles to a 2020 TRD Pro instead of the TTV6s.
You should have tried to open the door and look at the interior of the white 1794 LE, the door appeared to be unlocked with the mirrors out? I ended up getting the white 1794 LE, I wanted the brown but there were only a hundred and something of those built. White is the most common then black, blue
If I won the lottery, I would take one of the 1794 LEs. But the limited nightshades are looking really good, the chrome center cap really sets them off. On a side note: Odd that it's so rare to see a dbl cab in any trim really... I've been keeping an eye on local lots lately and haven't seen a single one.
The King Ranch is a gorgeous truck. Personally, i like on the Tundra 1794 LE that they added the fox suspension, SaddleBack leather, and dark chrome accents. For a Tundra enthusiast, a numbered truck (only 1500 made) is sweet.
I have a 21 Tundra and adding a 24 Platinum TRD off road this week to my inventory. I have heard nothing but gloom and doom with the Gen 3 Tundras. Hoping Toyota has the engine issues figured out.
@@TundraDude34 watch car guy online's video on it. He shows 2 24's with engine failure. I also know of one personally in my area. Im a Toyota fan and have owned multiple 2nd gens. I'll be keeping my 21 Lunar Rock pro indefinitely.
I saw that, but that doesn’t show me massive failure in the 2024s. I always like to look at the way toyota reacts. If you see a stop sale, tsb or recall, then you know its a big deal. If its a video that is a bunch of potential misinformation that stirs up the crowd, I don’t buy in. Wayyyy too many videos out there that scare folks, and thats a shame. I also hear in videos the Tundra isn’t selling well, when factually its selling better than it has in 16 years. All i ask is folks keep an open mind and watch out for stuff that is said vs researched
Everything’s over priced!!! Come on guys. That’s like saying the sky is blue. And btw, modern women wear too much makeup. So what are we going to do about it? Live in the forest alone? You guys need to buy a Ford and be celibate.

First, congrats on the 1794 LE, im jealous. Second, the epa has their tentacles in everything these days. Such a shame

I'll take the wind chill pearl special edition. One thing I'll give Toyota credit for.....The pricing is high no matter where you are in the country.
What is with the pin stripping? I wish we could get the limited edition 1794 in Canada
They do that alot up here in NJ. I gasped when i saw it on the 1794 LE 🤣

I’ll take the 1794 LE in the White. Then add some tires. A great looking truck!
Not worth the money people . Sold my 77k 1794 edition due to all the issues 👎
You bought one and then sold it because you may have issues down the line?
@@TundraDude34 I had a 2022 and sold it this year due to the issues it had.
@@rioevans8688 ohhhh, ok. I thought you said you went and bought the new 1794 limited edition and turned around and sold it immediately. My bad
Hands down, this is the best side by side comparison of Tundra models!
2 1794 LE in there, how lucky!
Everything’s overpriced!!! Come on guys, that’s like saying the sky is blue.
Good video as always. Get a small squeegee and wipe the glass when in the rain, so we can see better. 😅
Im holding the camera and the umbrella. I have no hands left! 😁
LE model
What’s the best toyota dealership to buy from in Texas?
I got mine in San Marcos back in March. Easy to work with and I think I came away with a solid deal. Id rather deal with the people in San Marcos than Austin 🤷
enjoying my 1794 wc peal white. I bought a white one cause Mark suggested it but now the mesquite smoke is his preferred color. Huh? JK

It was locked, i tried lol

Yeah i don’t see many. When dealers were trying to get anything they could last year, i saw a few, including the one i bought
If I won the lottery, I would make Toyota put a 5.7 in there with the hybrid Max option. 😅
Where are the 8' long beds
So frustrating the tundra bed outlet is so weak.
Yeah, they need to get on that
Hey my friend I appreciate your updates and all that you do for us channel fans. 👍
1794 LE IN SMOKED MESQUITE!❤
Sincerely asking - why a 1794 over a Ford F150 King Ranch - both fully loaded?

Get the extended factory warranty.
Good news! They haven't. There's already been multiple 24's with the bearing failure.
What’s multiple? How many?

Wish they had the Limited edition in Lunar Rock.
Then I think I'd be searching for one!
No class either. Looks like a toy
Jeez here in ca I still have not seen a iforce max much less test drive one. Our one allocation special edition sold hours on the lot.
They’re all over the place in Ontario, Riverside, Murrietta, and San Diego.
9:23 me too
Sorry but I think the new Toyotas are ugly and overpriced . No wonder they can’t sell them .
