    Hi CB Super thanks for your videos! Do you have a tutorial/tips for importing the graphics from Adobe Illustrator and bringing into fusion and animate them in a 3D world?

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  4 роки тому +1

      Congratulations Kevin, you've found my least favorite thing about Fusion! I'll try to get around to making a video doing just this since the workaround is kinda annoying. Essentially, you'll need to save out a .SVG file and import that into the Fusion tab. Need to go up to Fusion, Import, then select either Shapes or SVG. It will bring it in as vector polygons attached to a background. Now to animate it in 3d (2.5 really since there will be no extrusion), you can use the DVE or Transform node.

      Kevin, made this video to show how to bring import and animate .SVG vector graphics. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/p4xfM7HvHxM/v-deo.html Also, as of now, Fusion doesn't have a 3d generator like Element 3d (unless you use the Studio version and Krokodov toolset), but there some very difficult workarounds. I'm still working on doing a 3d integration with Blender and Fusion, but that is a few weeks out.

    Nice one, CB. I wonder why DR is crashing your MBP? DR is in a very stable release right now (16). Are you using Blender on it too? Does Blender crash your laptop?

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  4 роки тому

      Saad Shah I believe 90% of all my crashes come from DR running out of RAM. The 3d stuff chews through it pretty quickly. I run Blender, Maya and Nuke pretty smoothly. I have had several crashes on Zbrush though, so could be a similar issue.

    Brillant ! Thanks a lot. One maybe silly question : you mention Blender, why not crafting the sphere and everything from scratch in Blender and why would you use it only to edit the "convergence" ?

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  Рік тому +1

      I prefer to use Blender for anything 3d related. I have a different video on using Blender, but this was just using DaVinci for 3d. DaVinci is pretty blah for 3d work. Its ok for composite work (fusion page works similar to Nuke) but actually creating objects in resolve is tough. This video exists because somebody asked me how to do it in Resolve (otherwise this would definitely not be my software of choice). Is it possible, yes, but much better off using an actual 3d program for creating and animating the scene. Then bring it into resolve to either work the composite or integrate it into your video.

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  3 роки тому

      No easy ways ofcourse. If you are on Studio, you can try Krokodov tools. If on free, you can try creating a text font from your logo shape file. Easiest way is to simply use Blender to build your logo in 3d, then bring it into DaVinci.

    • @god-lightbulb
      @god-lightbulb 3 роки тому

      @@CBSuper In a similar vein, is it possible, in the 3D workspace, to create shapes that have thickness? For example, if we would use an ellipse mask to create a circle or ellipse in 2D, is it possible to create that in 3D space where the circle or ellipse has thickness? @neilbtw's question was about importing a logo and giving it thickness, and you said that was not possible. But I wonder, if something is built in Fusion (rather than imported) how would we build 3D shapes that have thickness?

  • @MadmarxOfficial

    If you have poor performance in fusion 3D it's probably because you render on the CPU. To render on the GPU instead, click on your Renderer3D node -> under "Reporting", Render Type -> select other option than "Software Renderer" like in my case "OpenGL Renderer".
