Aw that’s great :-)
Your a Legend, I am 53 and our missions are the same and my life feels great knowing the Snowball is rolling for my daughter before she even understands it..
Love your work Respect from Australia
Why the rooster?
Same here. I’m 54. Kids are 19 and 21. I have them investing automatically every 2 weeks.
@@elicci I love that mate Let's Go!!!!
That is the golden rule my father taught me when i was younger, always live within or below your means! And the rest will follow
Words carved in stone.
We have been retirees for over 5 years. Retired at the age of 61, after working for 70 years all together both of us. Have been saving & investing for decades and practicing a simple modest lifestyle.
I follow U Professor G because of your simplicity , modesty and the books you recommend. ( Feww of them I had read before knowing you).
Anyhow from a lifetime experience you are absolutely right.
I would also recommend the book " The Millionaire Next Door.
Thank you 🙏
Amazing!! I love to hear this
I like that you quoted Proverbs
🙌🙏
Great advice once again. Its unfortunate that they don't teach this in high school.
If they taught it too many people would be retiring at 45 and not paying taxes
I wonder if it is deliberate ??
@inthetrencheswithcas1762 it is, because if they taught this you could theoretically live at home for 10 years work at McDonald's (especially in CA)invest and potentially be retired in 10 to 15 years. You could literally drop out at 16 invest in the stock market at work at McDonald's until 30 years and reach financial freedom. They need you to work until 65
I discovered you 6 months ago. Why did I not find you sooner? It’s okay, I follow your 3-fund portfolio and let’s say this is my starting point at 46 years old. I had a lot of ups and downs in investing since I started at age 33, bought stocks that went bankrupt, lost approx $120k, but now I’ve grown my portfolio by nearly $100k since August 2023. I’m hoping I could reach 7 figures (not including my fully paid condo) in 2.5 years. But I’m not retiring until I have at least $2M at age 55. That’s the goal. I like listening to you the most because of the way you talk, you aren’t pushy, you have a great attitude, and a lot more. I always look forward to your videos. Thanks
I mean my portfolio (taxable brokerage, Roth IRA and 401k combined) grew by almost 100k more from August 2023 because of your investment guidance through your videos. I am close to $700k as of now
From Malaysia here..Thank you Prof G for your valuable financial education! Because of your videos, I learn a lot about ETF that can give a very great annual return! Tbh, I keep repeating watching your ETF videos for few times in a week. It’s like a reminder to me every day how important it is to save and invest in a good ETF without having a headache picking individual stock.

Great advice for business, finances, and life in general! It’s kind of sad that some of these have to be pointed out! I’m reading Millionaire Mission right now by the Money Guy, Brian Preston (my other favorite UA-cam channel). He talks about being dollar rich but time poor as his grandfather and father both died in their 50’s, and he just turned 50. It’s so important to have your priorities right! Thanks for giving us great financial advice as well as life advice! 😊
Thank you Maria I couldn’t agree more!
Nuggets of gold! Thanks Professor G!
Any time!
Inspirational and educational. Thanks, Professor. 😊
You’re welcome!
I don’t try to beat the market I join it by buying SPYI etf or just buy VOO for growth
BIL for treasury is good too
Hello Sir, I really like your videos, they are very helpful. Lately I have seen alot about these Yeildmax Etf;s could you do a video and give us your thoughts, I believe you are the person who could steer us straight on these. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I always enjoy your content. Glad you’re a believer, too! Proverbs 10:22 - It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
No better wisdom than that!
Hi Prof G, I’m Pabo from Sri Lanka. I like the way you explain things and it really convince me to start investing. Can you give us some more explanation about the stock market and how it really works and some important terminology that we need to look into when we analyze stocks/ETFs? Thanks!
My financial goal is being able to finally have my own place to have a better peace of mind in terms of being able to just kicking back and relax after a long days worth of work. Afterwards being able to go on adventures without having to worry about how much has been spent. Just a simple, relaxing, stressless life. A sanctuary in which i would definitely appreciate because I finally achieved it after many years of hardships.
At 52 years of age and investing weekly in my employer’s deferred compensation plan one , oddly one of my biggest regrets is I listened to much that I must diversify my portfolio. In hindsight I would have been in much better shape if I just invested 100% into the S&P 500 fund. Instead I put only about 25% into the S&P and rest into international, value, small/midcap, real estate, etc.
It sounds like the right thing to have been doing but I would have a lot more money right now if I just went all in the S&P 500 from day one. Keep that in mind for you younger investors.
I don't know if I'd do 100% into the S&P 500 as that doesn't seem very safe but I ended up doing 40%.
Amazing video! I just finished this book the obstacle is the way! And I loved it !! You always make me keep going strong and be a better person ! Ur the best !❤️
Thank you so much! Yes great book!
Good tips. Time IN the market and having the wherewithal to just keep investing when everyone is freaking out are critical. Your future self will thank you. And yes, be kind, be healthy, expect nothing, and you’ll be good. 👍
Such a great video again. Love steps 5 and 6! Thank you!
Im Going to Add a 24th! Sounds Simple but it's everything you/he said wrapped in a nutshell. Never Let Your Emotions Be Stronger Than Your Mind! This can be from the next bite of food you eat to inheriting a million dollars and everything in between
I like this a lot!! Definitely agree
Professor I must say you are a Gem.. I really like your knowledge communication skills and intelligence.Lots of Love❤
I appreciate the kind words!
I have a couple of the books you have. Could you go through them and tellus which have been most helpful?
I love these, Nolan, especially about it being made weird to be nice. Very stoic influenced feeling from this video. The Obstical is the Way is fantastic. Cheers
Yes thank you so much!
Thank you! I got back into active investing again since watching your videos. Very encouraging and something I CAN UNDERSTAND
Amazing! This is what I like to hear!
I love this guy.
Me too😆
I’am watching you from Germany and I’ve learned a lot from you. Great advices!
Thankyou!
My number one is safety and security which requires money
Love this stuff. Will you consider doing a video on Custodial acct for your kids? I started looking into doing one for my son.
See stairs; take stairs.
Both literally and sometimes there's benefits in taking the route that takes more work but has been established for forever.
I'm starting to reevaluate my financial positions, and your videos have been very helpful! One thing that I'm on the search for is a general guide on how to evaluate dividend ETFs. It seems more complicated than making sure that you agree with the holdings and strategy, and comparing historical returns.
Yesss! I love that
Excellent and honest presentation! Great thoughts. I'll be going back to listen again to write these down. Thank you for your investment of time and resources in others!
keep pumping out those financial informational videos Professor G!!!!
The best thing I have ever done for myself is being and keeping myself out of debt. My only bill (other than food and utilities) is my mortgage and I can’t wait to finish paying it off.
Brother, this is really excellent advice, and a great video. You’re very level-headed and give many sensible tips here. Living a balanced life between health, wealth, and spiritual/mental well-being is so important. Keeping it all balanced is critical to success. Thank you for the great content on your channel!
Thank you so much and I couldn’t agree more with balance!
Great video! Thank you Prof. have a nice weekend!

Good stuff, Prof G. I was interested that you brought up the "work smarter, not harder" thing, then added the caveat to work hard, too. I agree with you 100%. I picked this up early in life. My father was very intelligent... and he was brought up on a dairy farm. Hard work was a given. He combined his intelligence with a hard work ethic to become a self-made person. My mom was the same way, very smart and good work ethic. They made a fine team and left their family (me and my brothers) with a legacy of intelligence and a good work ethic. Thanks for your continued wonderful content. This is one for the archives. Cheers
Thank you so much for sharing. It sounds like you had great role models!
Great advice Prof. G💪💪💪🤙🤙 i have a question, what is best for my kid, a 529 account or regular brokerage acct, or custodial Roth IRA?? Thanks
Let me say thank you kindly for your videos.
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Love the concept of this video! I would say for me it’s definitely health is wealth. If I focus on things that are healthy for me (ex: fitness, nutrition, taking on challenges) the dividends on that investment is unlimited! 📈
Health is definitely wealth!!
Another great video. I have to admit. Your vid and Ryne's are the ones i look forward to watching every week. Great content and thank you!!
I appreciate the support!
Sage advice - delivered simply!
Thankyou!! Which was your favorite?
@@NolanGouveia I got a chuckle out of the "Eat more vegetables" comment. Reminds me of that song that came out in the 90s - always uses sunscreen. All of the points were good, especially the one about being kind. I shared this with my 19 year old daughter and 21 year old son - it is ageless wisdom!
wholesome and helpful advice like as always! Thanks Nolan!
Thank you 🙏
I think i learned something new today!! Thank you sir
I would love to get a 10% raise. 😂😂. But I have started investing in ETFs.
Great tips for improving our lives. Thank you!
Thank you!
I'm not so good at 16, great at 17, and terrible at 18, and 19 is virtually impossible when prices have doubled on my previously within-budget expenses; I'm trying, though.
Always great info from you Professor G! Thanks for another great video.
Appreciate you my guy!

I really enjoy learning from your channel. What are your thoughts about commodities & commoditie ETFs, such as gold, silver ETFs, etc?
Where can we send request of videos. Want to know your opinion on robo-advisor account for example Fidelity Go. Are they worth it.
Appreciate you sharing this video. I have work to do. 👍 for including fitness and health.
I have work to do as well! Continuous journey!
This is life changing a perfect recipe to make this world a better more loving kind place and be wealthy while u do it
Question, does the $100k need to be in the same account and being reinvested in? I have some funds in a bank Mutual fund which I have stopped investing in and I have started self directed investment in ETFs.
It can be within multiple investments!
Awesome advice, thanks!
I recently listened to the book The Algebra of Wealth: A Simple Formula for Financial Wealth by Scott Galloway
I need to read that one!
Love this so much ❤ especially the kindness

Great life and investment advice to the younger generations!! Grosartig!!

Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the quality content you provide. You’re changing the life of myself and my son!
This makes me so happy!
It’s a matter of perspective- if you ask a service person for their name it can be viewed as treating them as a child or servant because you are then addressing them familiarly while they need to address you formally - they do not know your name. If you do introduce yourself that can also be bad because now you are trying to act like you will be friends and yet they are at work so they have no freedom to say no thanks. If you ever go to Europe your girlfriend should not ask for a name and use that name as that will be considered an insult. Staff at restaurants in Europe would feel that you are patronizing them
Professor G took me to church!

Professor G. is handsome. Good advice too. lol
Love the Bible verse 🙏🏼🙌🏼
I’m 25 and just finally got out of debt and put in some 💰 in the market , the advice you give it perfect and I’m definitely a subscriber 👍🏼
Happy to hear it!
The Hardest lesson U will ever learn is telling yourself NO!
@NolanGouveia_YT Do U think Bonds or CD'S, before interest rates change, would be a good play, currently @ 5.4?
could the S and P crash soon? I have about 90% of my savings in a high yield savings and 10% in stocks because I'm afraid of a stock market crash or correction
Great video Prof G!!! 👍
I stopped the video at vegetables. 😂
hahaha

Crypto? (0:06) Really? You may wish to also consider tulip futures--the blooms are at least pretty to look at, so they have SOME amount of value.
There always seems to some irrational exuberance in the stock market. After listening to numerous experts and doing my own research, the market has a mind of its own and will go up or down when you least expect it. My advice is to diversify to minimize the downward swings in the market while continuing to grow your portfolio unless you a younger investor.
