Also I just noticed that ‘ The Intelligent investor’ book beside you, I am reading that at the moment. I’ve been investing for 5 years now, finally at the point where I’m leaving my job as an engineer. Never made more than 150K a year, but managed to accumulate a couple of millions and then some in the stock market. I do hope to attain “decamillionaire” before Q3 of the year!

I know a big portion of my 100K would go to JEPQ. I love that one (great index, high yield, and I don’t mind the high volatility of the Nasdaq-100). I would love to throw together some other holdings to get the best combination of dividend growth and stability.
Not making up to a million before retirement is unfulfilled retirement.!! I’m 54 and my wife 50 we are both retired with over $7 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. No longer putting blames on FED for our misfortunes. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock and forex market made it possible for us this early, even till now we earn weekly.

I understand the fact that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, but investing today is a hard thing to do for me now because I have no idea of how and where to invest in. Based on your personal tolerance of risk, you may want to consider being riskier at a younger age with your investments. Greater risk increases your chances of earning greater wealth. Becoming more conservative with your investments as you grow older can be wise, especially as you near retirement age.
Living with fear stops us taking risks, and if you don't go out on the branch, you're never going to get the best fruit.

I have learned more from UA-cam in my adult life than I did at school as a kid.
Because when on UA-cam, you search for things you are interested in learning and/or watching, that's why you learn more. In school you learn things you may not be interested in.
Public schools are nothing more than indoctrination facilities when you think about it. You have to respond to the ringing of bells day in and day out like some Pavlovian response. And you have to listen to lessons by teachers that spin them into political narratives.
@@mattgieslerrocks Not that deep for me. School is still necessary for many reasons. Obviously I wouldn't want someone to do a brain surgery on me if they only learned from youtube lol. I also went to a private school. For example, I needed to change my tire the other day. I simply pulled out my phone and I was able to do it after watching a few people on youtube. Ain't nobody teaching a girl how to change a tire....that would have been more helpful to me in my career as a stay at home mom.

All I’m saying is that public schools don’t teach important things like changing a tire, managing finances, or critical thinking in relation to the media or politicians. Public school teachers wouldn’t teach students something that would put themselves or their fellow school faculty out of a job. That’s why they don’t teach philosophical topics like Libertarianism, Anarchism, or Agorism because those ideologies would ultimately interfere with public school funding. If however, the school is of good quality, the school and it’s faculty can still be crowdfunded and the school body can cut back on unnecessary expenses so it can teach in a more cost effective manner.

Had a dad who would always buy those scratch cards, 1 or 2 when out shopping and he would also play the lottery each month. He said stock investing was basically just as much luck and for rich people. So yeah, it was actually kind of nice to see the last bit. I'm in my late twenties but I've had next to zero financial education and come from a lower middle-class family who split up. I'm currently looking into what I can make my side hustle thanks to videos like yours and I'm gonna spend some money next month on books to learn more about this stuff that would probably have gone to fastfood instead.

If you are spending $100 a month annually there is the US powerball they say there is a 1:26 chance to win a prize of at least $4. If you do a multiplier it makes it a $3 ticket and a prize of $8. There are 8-9 draws in a month.
My current ratio of winning isn't great but I haven't applied my theory yet. They also offer $100 prize, a $50,000 prize and a $1,000,000 prize the largest prize with a multiplier without hitting the JACKPOT is $2,000,000.
I remember someone calculated that the chance of winning the grand prize is less than someone being struck by lightning twice in their life ☹️

The lotto example at the end was definitely worth the investment of time. I consider playing the lotto regularly like taking a course in applied probability theory. When you quit paying tuition you've passed the course!!! ☺

Somebody help me😢 I don't understand these charts. I am definitely not cut out for this kind of analysis. This is why I always want to leave it to the professionals. I know it's a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but I'd also love to know the means of actualizing short term profit. Do you ever trade for others? I'm trying to build a portfolio of at least $850k ahead of retirement.
Since the market is now unstable, I advise hiring a financial adviser who can provide you entry and exit points for the shares or ETF you want to concentrate on.
I agree , I assumed I had a hang of the market at first, I gained $50k one year and I was super elated, not until I stumbled upon a portfolio-advisr whose been guiding me since the market's been sham after the pandemic, to my utmost surprise I nettd a whooping $380K during this dip, that made it clear there's more to the market that we avg joes don't know

Reason they don't teach you this in school: If they did there wouldn't be any teachers. They'd all be doing this instead.

Yeah, someone has to be a teacher, a cashier, a construction worker. That's why they don't teach them at school, or at the very least they don't focus on them too much because society would collapse(not really collapse but you get the idea)
They teach science in schools, not everyone becomes scientists, they teach health in schools not everyone becomes doctors, they teach math in schools not everyone becomes a mathematician or any job that you need advanced mathematics for, there is gym class in schools not everyone becomes athletes...Same if they had a good finance class in schools, not everyone will take advantage of that.
Its a plan to keep the poor, poor.
They don't teach you those things because students have to become employees, not employers.

When i was in high school my consumer econ teacher got in trouble for teaching us a bit about how to play the stock market. Somehow, i made almost 4k in a 30 day investment (just play money). Now all i have to do is figure out how the hell i did that 20 years ago lol

For the amount of time and effort to drive to buy the plane, bring it back, spend his time taking photos and listing on ebay, pay ebay fees and other fees, that plane and motor either made less money than minimum wage or actually cost him money.
