amazing photo. When composing a pano are you framing the center 3rd and then moving your camera around to capture everything else?
Hey Matt, thank you so much! You’re spot on-I take the middle frame first, and then work my way around clockwise from there. I’ve found that method to feel the most intuitive!

Amazing shot! I'm confused when you said you took the shot handheld but then you said also that your tripod's leg got included in the view. Anyways, it's still a very nice shot.
Thank you so much, Neil! Great question, I should have clarified that-I had setup my tripod in case I wanted to use it, but i decided not to, so Eric used it for a time-lapse instead, which is why it was in the shot. Should have been clearer about that! Thanks again 😊

Question is, how big is this file and what's the resolution of it? Great picture btw
Hi Fernando, thank you so much! That’s a great question, because it’s actually smaller than you might think. Because of the nature of panorama stitching, there’s a lot of overlapping parts in the image, so the long edge of this image is only about 10,000 or 11,000 pixels, I believe. Still very big, just not a “massive” photo. Thanks again! :)
After all is said and done, I wonder how large the image is format wise? Must be close to 4x5...or perhaps 8x10 🤭 Anyways, great work and nice to see how something like this is done! 👍🏾
