I love this!!! I'm new to the camera world and this information is GOLD!!! I have a Fuji XT-4, I'd love to see you manually showing the steps (in-camera setting) , on how to set up all that! Thank you in advance!!
This is straight up the best tutorial
There are a few tutorials on this technique, but this is one of the best in terms of explaining all the different factors involved and specifics of execution (like order of capture). Thank you!
I tried to be as thorough as possible :)
SOLID! Again like you've always said, it's cool to see how different everyone approaches the same techniques and things.
thanks man! Yes, so awesome to see people take their own spin on technqiues
I love this! I have to try it as soon as I won't have a queue of 200 photos to edit😆
What's impressive to me is that you handheld these shots and LR still managed to stitch them into a panorama!! Shows me that you have an incredible eye!! Good Job Reggie!!
Steve Bearman thanks Steve!

Reggie like to echo what people are saying, but very well explain and short to the point. Love it well done, nice to see that in less than 8 min you explain what people will learn in more time. Keep the good work.

🙌🏽
Perfect explanation my man.
Thanks!
I was waiting for this video from you ...
Awesome one👍🏻
Ashams Winnes was it worth the wait??
Reggie Ballesteros oh yes.. the only problem is that my Mac ran out of space while rendering the images..need to clear up some space 😅
Thank you so much for explaining this. I gave it my first go ... on my dog, alone, in the woods today. Your video made it quite easy and I look forward to more opportunities to practice....maybe someday on humans.....
Nice!
Fun! I'm going to give it a shot.
Let me know how it goes!
Epic !!!!!
🙌🙌🙌
interesting. thanks for the inspiration. if your models / subject doesn’t move you can also use a panoramic head and have less trouble in the post production.
Yup. Great idea. But for me it’s a lot more setup and logistics that’s not really ideal for wedding and portrait shoots. Do you typically shoot your engagements with a tripod?
Great stuff again Reggie 👍🏻
When I use the technique for commercial work though I prefer to stitch the images in Photoshop because I can better correct the issues when the file has layers (using your example, would be easier to select and fix the leaves if they were moving with the wind) or if I went through C1 imports rather than Lightroom.
The latest update of Lightroom also added .PSB support so you can then adjust the larger file there too after the stitching.
Fabien Butazzi nice. Thanks for the comment!
Great video. You just earned yourself a sub sir.
Thanks my friend
Great technique! Thanks for sharing
I was excited about it when I first learned it. Any ideas on what you’ll try it out on?
@@Reggiebphoto I've got some band pics to take this week that might make for a good testing ground :-)
Have you ever tried this with a 50mm before? Could it work at that focal length?
So after you acquire focus u put camera in manual and take all the shoots without re-focusing? Thanks in advance
Andrea De Meo precisely.
When up I move the camera are you going back to AF to refocus again our keeping the same focus
Same focus. You switch to manual after locking focus
I can handle that - thanks!
vargavideo do it! Share to IG and tag me!
Thanks Reggie, do you know if this is available in C1 as well?
i don't believe it is.
You overlapped some images as part of the set, which included the subjects. What if they move a little between shots ? How does LR handle the stitching? Thanks!
It’s best practice to not have the overlap include the people. I ensure the first
Shot can stand alone on its own with the subject in the correct position and expression. Never had an issue if I make sure to make the main subject
The first image of the Stitch. But I don’t know I can’t really answer your question as I try to avoid multiple overlaps of the subject.
@@ReggiebphotoGot it. Thanks much. I've seen others overlap the subject but never explain how that could work!
Yeah I wouldn’t do it intentionally. Just overlap more of the edge of the frame not necessarily the subject
I don't understand where the models are placed. that you do not fit in the mirror
It’s not a mirror
so are we supposed to lock our focus and keep the focus only on the couple via manual focus?
and the rest all blurred? or how does this work?
Yup, switching it to manual allows the blur to remain consistent when aiming the camera at the other parts of the background
Reggie Ballesteros thanks for the reply! So I assume we take the couple shot in auto focus once done we lock it to manual focus and continue stacking ? When we aim upwards to shoot the corners , does the angle matter ? Will it affect the stitching ?
Know any free stitching software?
Not thst I know of
Will this work with XF 35mm f1.4?
It will but the effect is better on more telephoto lensss
@@Reggiebphoto I thought so. Guess I gotta buy those 50mm haha. Thanks for your reply man. You rocks!
Can I use xf 35mm f1.4 for Brenizer? Or is it not long enough?
You can
@@Reggiebphoto Nice! But will I still get the bokeh look…?
Nope. It will be the bokeh of the 35
@@Reggiebphoto Yup that’s right. Longer lens would be better I guess. Thanks!
Can you do this using a smartphone?
Nope
@@Reggiebphoto thanks
I only shoot jpeg because my computer can' handle raw and I'm running out of memory 😅
Anyway I will let you know if I'm able to try it, thanks reggie.
To Ni you can do it In In jpeg just lock the white balance and color settings
To Ni time to invest in external storage ;)
This guy looks like Gizmo.
Do you have an actual comment related to the tutorial of this video?
@@ReggiebphotoGood tutorial. If one seeks for free option I recommend Microsoft Image Composite Editor - works same way and is totally free of charge.
I dislike 'methods' named after someone when it was done by many people before said named person
Cool
this technique has been around for years.
Yup. I never stated it was new.
odd
How did this Brenizer guy (a not very good wedding photographer) hijack an already well used stitching technique as his own invention….WTF! I was using this technique with 5x4 and 120mm and 35mm film 30 years ago. And artists like Hockney were using this stitching technique to produce art pieces back in the 70’s and 80’s. Thats the issue with being young and ill-informed you think everything is new.
Amazing! Shall I change the name of the video to credit you?
