The #VolkswagenAtlasCrossSport is part of a new midsize SUV family designed for buyers who liked the look at the Atlas, but wanted something a bit more unique without the 3rd row. Because it is based on the regular Atlas, the #AtlasCrossSport has one of the largest back seat and trunk space in the segment. It comes standard with a 2.0T or 3.6 VR6 engines with an 8AT and available 4Motion AWD. The #CrossSport offers a lot of what you may like about the Audi Q8 but for able half the price. - Авто та транспорт
Good morning everyone! This one is a bit of an older video that we had sitting in the queue for a bit. The color certainly made the Cross Sport stand out even more! We think it’s one of the best new family car choices out there, just don’t expect it to drive like a GTI.
Cedar is so cute!! I loved that scene when he jumped in the back to help with the review. Maybe consider having him do that more when reviewing SUV's or so...plus we get to see his cuteness.lol
Purchased a Cross Sport SE v6 4Motion w Tech in June, 1000 miles later in August our family of 4 adults was out for a drive when a 2000 Pontiac turned left in front of us. The collision was our front left to the front center of the Pontiac at about 40mph. The Cross Sport hand so many safety features deployed that we didn't previously know about that saved us from serious injury. We really liked our Cross Sport before but after the accident (vehicle was totaled) there was no doubt we were going to replace it with the same. Our replacement we decided to go with the Cross Sport SE R-Line v6 4Motion w Tech. Biggest difference is styling package and sunroof. Our average MPG is about 18, can get 23 hwy, love the comfort and space for 4 adults, features are simple to use, its not a GTI but I didn't buy it to win races. So far we don't have any complaints with the vehicle.
im glad everyone’s okay!
So happy nobody was seriously hurt! I also have an atlas. I look for those idiots and that is scary. I expect people to turn in front of me sadly. It helps me avoid so many accidents like that however I was just rear ended buy a 20 year old in his dads truck and he said he was texting his gf. His insurance covered the repairs and nobody was hurt except his ego
Glad you guys are safe! Made like tanks! ❤️VW!
I still say someone at VW sure does like the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The giant chrome treatment on the lower fascia and those fax exhaust tips...sheesh.
You have great reviews man. Keep up the good work!
Sofyan does a great job with editing his videos and his introductions are second to none. The fake exhaust outlets are not cool VW!
vw knows that already they just dont give a shit!
@Daniel Zhang that is so very true..and that is why i REFUSE to buy a volkswagen point blank
Intros 2nd to none? Not sure about that and he needs someone to help him write scripts they aren’t very smooth. I like Sofyan and I’ve been a subscriber for 6-7 years. But for example in this intro he said family twice in the same sentence and it just hit me funny. Not a huge deal. He does provide us with information and entertainment and I like it. But 2nd to none? I just don’t see it.
For those who have gripes with the interior, if you look at the SEL Premium it has really nice Nappa leather & ambient lighting in the doors and dashboard as well so that doesn’t make it look cheap
as an old corrado VR6 engined owner that sound was fantastic.
Yes now it just needs be in car from vw 1,200 lbs less.. lol
You give the best quality car reviews ever!
This is the exact color combination I'd get for the SEL Premium R-Line trim. I love that blue with the beige interior shown here
We just traded in a 2017 top of the line MDX for the SEL with the V6. Everything he says is spot on. Despite all the other reviews I read and watched this car is quiet and just as smooth as the MDX. Mileage is better than VW states. Super comfortable,. Wish the 2020 had the wireless CarPlay like the 2021. No power steering wheel adjustments is inexcusable. If VW steps up the interior quality this scar will be a steal and unique. We paid 11k with taxes so how can I complain. We love this way more than the MDX so far. VW is about two or three upgrades from making this vehicle a true winner among the auto journalists but for everyday people it is a winner.
Love the dog in the beginning
Great review. Have you guys thought of making a meet the crew video? We could get an introduction to the behind the scenes guys maybe thought on the year and what cars you guys are most excited for.
I’ve always enjoyed your videos. Now knowing you have a Vizsla, you’ve become my favorite!!!
.....and the white sunglasses are back!!!🙌🤸🤸🤸🤸🤸....Cedar has potential to be his very own vlog star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟...what a cutie...I loved the exterior color and upholster color but I agree with most that the rest of the interior looks cheap and dated. I'd NEVER pay that price , EVER. Also love the panaramic roof. My next car will have that 4 sho'!!! Good job , Sofyan!!!🏆
Interesting to see that in a 2021 model Volkswagen uses this interior. In many of the European Volkswagen cars, even a Golf, the screens are bigger and more modern.
I love your videos.🔥🔥🔥
Cedar! That’s what I’m going to name my first child lol.. the whole family hates the name! I love it!
Naturally aspirated port injected v6 with a real gearbox 👌🏻
Believe it or not I’ve been seeing these EVERYWHERE in Texas!
Love that Hungarian hunting doggie right there! He is adorable and fits in that VW nicely!
Hi gm I have been watching your videos since forever lol
The Atlas is a beauty
I'm with you on the interior. I looked at the Atlas and then the Telluride/Pallisade and the Korean brands where much better. While I like the exterior look I'd probably end up with the new Santa Fe
This is a very beautiful car I like the interior color combination and the roofline shape fitting perfectly but when will the redesign come
This car looks so good 😍I wish It were in Germany as well
Car drives well and milage is better than expected. Am leasing a 2022 SE with Tech and Black 20" wheels. only real complaint is passenger seat is very firm also Fender Audio thats is on higher trims would be welcome.
The interior looks like what i would expect the new sportage to look like
You should review the new addition by the VW group to the US line up, the RS6 Avant.
I really wish they kept the 3-zone climate control system which they offer with the regular Atlas. That would make it a class-exclusive feature since only the Jeep Grans Cherokee 2-row now offers 4-zone climate control in specific trims
Love your dog Sofyan.
Awwwwwwe, Cedar!!! ❤️
Love the exterior. However the interior reminds me of a 2012 vehicle, too dated for the class.
Such an overstatement
Hey, gurr! I have a 2018 A4 but need something taller and cheaper so I’m eyeing this.
You can probably get a decent deal on the V6 SEL Premium with AWD since that’s the fully-loaded trim to knock some cash off the lease rate or the total cost
Sofyan I have listened to you criticize so many interiors of so many different car brands. I’m telling you these things that upset you don’t upset most people. If you look up car tours 2020 most people just want a booming sound system and android auto and Apple car play. Most people just buy a car, go to Amazon and cheapen up the interiors with fake crystal push starters and fake ambient lighting. Also don’t forget the fake crystal steering wheel covers. Whether the car cost 1,000 or 100,000 the results are the same. Half the features that reviewers say that cars should have are wasted on half the people that purchase these cars. Love your videos.❤️
The budget q8
Don’t sleep on the 2.0T as it’s not the same tune as the one in the Tiguan. It’s 235 hp vs 184 hp. It’s lighter than the VR6 and 0-60 is faster too.
The interior is very cool and manly, sometimes minimalist placements are the sexiest, no need to have alot of WOW and OOMPH and everything shouting. Sometimes a good solid functional interior wins the day. The 2021 model for me takes the cake
Could you please put the minimum and version from the video prices into the description?
VW should've dropped the Audi Q7's older detuned 3.0L motor into this Cross Sport (310-315 hp or so).
Absolulely! The 2.0 is no where near enough for this much weight.
@Daniel Zhang I think its to protect the similar Audi products from getting sales cannibilized by their VW cousins
@@joelbosso1331 bingo
Considering how much time these spend in the repair bay nothing vw makes will get me to purchase one
Nice car from VW
The mainstream midsize CUV category has grown so large that it has become two distinct categories. Nearly every automaker now has two vehicles in overall midsize group. Mazda stands alone with only the CX-9 on offer. The group of smaller crossovers is almost exclusively a two row set and range from about 188" to 192" in length. The group of larger vehicles ranges from about 195" (Highlander) to 203" in length (Traverse) and nearly all offer three rows of seats.
But while almost every vehicle from manufacturer fits neatly into these categories, there are a couple of exceptions. The KIA Sorento (less than 190" long) offers three rows of seats. And the Cross Sport with seating for five is considerably larger than its smaller midsize rivals. At 195.5" in length it's half an inch longer than the 3 row Highlander. Further, nearly all of the smaller midsize CUVs are at least 6" shorter than their larger siblings. The Cross Sport is less than 3" shorter than the Atlas. (Over the years VW has learned that Americans like their VW's larger than their European counterparts.) It's the largest 2 row crossover on the market.
One might conclude that the Cross Sport provides cargo space that exceeds its two row competition as well. But that would be wrong. For example, the Cross Sport has 40.3 cubic ft of cargo space in the rear and 77.8 cf with the second row folded. Honda claims the Passport, more than five inches shorter than the Cross Sport, offers 50.5 and 100.7 cf respectively. The difference stems from two factors. First, the sloping "coupe-like" roof of the Cross Sport robs a significant amount of cargo space. Second, VW opted to use a significant amount of its length advantage for rear seat legroom. In short, the Cross Sport sacrifices cargo capacity for "people room." Whether that's a reasonable tradeoff depends on a customer's priorities.
As far as engine options are concerned, the Cross Sport (and the Atlas) face challenges. The superb EA888 2.0L engine is well tuned in this application even considering the size and weight of the Cross Sport. But there's no denying that it's stressed in moving a vehicle that when loaded tops 2.5 tons. The VR6 is adequate for the Cross Sport's mission but there's no doubt VW has better, more appropriate engines available. Unfortunately for the VW brand, the VW family of brands is extremely protective of the much higher profit Audi vehicles. Management isn't interested in stealing sales from Audi and that leaves the Cross Sport and Atlas with the relatively inefficient and underpowered V6.
@Chezzyperson That seems rather odd in view of the fact that Mazda already has the CX-8, a stretched version of the CX-5. They don't sell it in the US. In fact, they don't sell it in markets where the CX-9 is offered. The CX-8, however, seats 7 as does the CX-9. Perhaps they'll simply delete the third row from the CX-8 and call it the CX-7.
Mr. Bey, how does this handle rough roads, potholes, etc.?
Hi there! Hope you can do video for 2021 atlas sel premium rline. Thanks
Nice rear seat
I like the car, but I LOVE the dog.
Your dog is awesome, as are your reviews!
The cost cutting is insane on this car, worst than GM! WTF kind of modern SUV doesn't let you slide the rear seats forward and back? And the interior materials are still disappointing.
The bigger 3 row Atlas let's you slide the rear seats, there's no point in sliding the rear seats if there's no 3rd row seat, plus you're given a good amount of space anyways so who cares
Soyfan worried about the loose doggo at about the 2 minute mark.
I actually love the interior. There is something about a VW interior that is classic and traditional looking yet still has all the tech. To me, a Ford Edge or some of the Chevy lineup like the equinox with lots of plastic and bubble dashboards etc is what looks dated.
The beauty of VW and other German automakers’ interiors is simplicity. Not sure why he’s surprised and saying how they were “exciting” a few years ago.
good car
Needs more power!!! I don't understand why they can't push over 300hp, the only ones in these segment that do this is the Edge and the Grand Cherokee.
We test drove this the other day for my wife and the driving dynamics was great. But with the V6 on idle it makes a weird/annoying buzzing sound from the engine and even worse when backing up in reverse. Did you not experience this? She decided to cross this off the list because of this.
Shaping and style of the rear seat reminds me of a church pew...Just can't tell what kind of wood it is?
Can you review used cars? I’m interested in buying a used toureg
When can we expect a review of the all new Audi Q8?
Yes , the biggest issue I have with Volkswagen is the outdated interior design , the shifter the infotainment system the center console all need to be redesigned because it is way behind the competition.
@Raschaud Farmer Lol
Will you review the 2021 Jaguar station wagon?
There’s no jaguar station in the US
It’s a great looking suv but I think VW could have made it better, with the interior. It comes across cheap.
It really does. And super dated. Looks like something from 2013
@@taranpersad9757 That’s such an overstatement
Well if you look at the SEL Premium it has really nice Nappa leather & ambient lighting in the doors and dashboard as well so that doesn’t make it look cheap
What’s the diff between a “vlog style” and a vlog?
Boring silver? The best color for keeping it looking new!
I don’t understand why VW north american lineup is so boring. In Europe they have cool cars and SUVs like the T-Cross, T-Roc, Polo, Passat (new generation), Arteon Shooting Brake, Touareg, Tiguan SHWB, Tiguan R, ID3
Because the average American has horrible taste in cars. They want cars big and cheap. Nowadays, a family has one child and think they need to go out and buy a large SUV. SUV/ CUV’s are killing the enthusiast market here. 👎
Another Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport!
Best looking suv by far.
Funny that 😄 from outside resemble urus and Q8 and interior so below par dashboard, this is how VW makes big bucks in America
Yeah sadly in America it’s about cheapening things for the market
German automaker has only non turbo engines in North America and Europe its all turbos and latest transmissions
No one is buying vw in America since diesel gate
And they still have same mind set to screw differently
@@krafique the atlas is the only car vw sells in the us that is non turbo and it has turbo versions
The Ford Edge’s interior looks newer and it was redesigned in 2015... the atlas came out in 2018 not to mention VW owns huge companies going from Bugatti’s to Bentley so I certainly expect more from them because I know there capable and I feel like they have been fo using on their other brands then there’s and due to that Volkswagen sales sucks...
Why don't they offer a 4 cylinder 2.0t Rline ? 🤔
Does it come with a check engine light standard?
...because the world needs another SUV that is a less practical version of an existing SUV.
NO! I don't know what's wrong with Americans. Too much stuff that gives us the feeling that we need massive vehicles.
@@chigasaki06 Gotta keep up with the Jones’s. This is why everyone now needs a tank to drive to the grocery store.
OK Boomer
chintze that the rear door inserts don't match the front doors....
no Infiniti reviews on this channel??? saw many sedan vids with zero q50’s
2021 GLA250 please.
VW fell flat on this one..
Very nice looking from the outside but still quite old in the inside. Plus, VW desperately needs to put 💰💰💰 to develop newer powertrains. Even their V-6 has been outclassed by the competition. An additional 25 HP would've come in handy. Upgrade is way overdue.
Q8 platform
1;18 I don't like what automakers are doing of getting rid of fog lights...
Aww...Cedar!
Vw is the best
Is that fake exhaust sounds coming through the cabin. If it is, hopefully it can be turned off. It’s it’s not, that’s too loud for a family hauler
16 city?!?!? A Chevy Tahoe gets the same gas mileage!
if you drive like this guy I don't doubt it lol MPG is just as much about the driver as it is the car
Definitely not giving me the WOW factor! Next 👉
The exterior definitely has a presence in person. It looks like a mainstream Urus.
@@DctorSkillz1 I actually agree with you. They definitely have presence. My only gripe is the fake exhausts.
True, plus they’re starting to be very common now.. soon you’ll see them a lot.
Dash design looks 10 -15 years old.
Don't need sliding rear seats, they don't need to make space for third row passengers
It's useful to have sliding seats if all you have is kids back there. It increases the cargo capacity a bit
These things have been having a ton of head gasket and coolant issues.
Outback is only 40k and this thing is 50k? It needs 10k off MSRP, I can’t imagine anyone would buy this at 50 K MSRP. Honestly, even at same price, I would still get Outback because of modern interior, 8.7 inch ground clearance and better all wheel drive system, faster acceleration and significantly better fuel economy.
A sustained look from the side view reveals a rather cartoonish body-to-glass ratio, courtesy of the lowered roofline.
So Volkswagen’s just giving up completely I see. Makes sense.
I don’t think the 2nd row needs to slide back and forward because it’s so far back and you can fit child seats back there easily. When VW offered their nicer interiors and charged a premium for them prior to 2011, Americans didn’t want to pay for that and sales didn’t meet Volkswagens more aggressive sales desires. So VW added plastic & increased the size of the cars and SUV’s and bam Americans started buying these vehicles and their numbers have soared.
Loved everything until I heard about the fuel consumption. Yikes, 16mpg in the city!! Seriously, VW, it’s about time you guys start paying attention to the planet. It’s not like this is performance SUV either with 4 cylinder output from a massive 6.
That interior is much to be desired.
They need the 3.0 tdi that everyone in Europe buys.
The Venza is a hybrid only so it doesn’t really compete with it
The vw cc interior looks better
So your dog Cedar... XL or LIMITED? heh
I like the look of the car, really don’t care about the luxury crap, but the mediocre performance killed it for me.
Looks good outside but inside seems dated n cheap. Over priced for what it is.
Hard plastic interior bits on dashboard and rear doors on a 45k car... disappointing.
Also VW interiors have gone to shit since they started designing specifically for American tastes.
Ass end of this car looks horrible in certain colors.
Perfect for a person looking for a used car. This thing should only be about 33k At max like wth is wrong with car companies nowadays? Not just them but consumers!?! What is wrong with youse that buy these over priced junk!!
@@aayonce4 there are lots of pros to buying new and if you shop smart you won’t ever over pay. I’ve personally had more problems with used cars I have bought them the brand new ones I’ve bought.
Crazy that this vehicle is fairly new but already looks dated.
Ugh two years later, I just discovered them. Saw it in person and very disappointed.
Also way too expensive
