I feel terrible for Francesca. She lost her mom as a kid, lost her dad when she was 22, had to raise her 14-year-old sister while working and going to school. And then to lose her sister in this horrible way just a few years later. I hope Francesca finds love, joy, and peace.

Why did she leave her though? She knew she was in trouble. She would not be in that toxoc relationship if I had to lock her up. Same goes for this friend. I bet they both feel guilty. I would either get her out of there or stop being her friend.

@silverleaf80 Because Aileen was an adult. She had that right to choose for herself. It's sad, but you can't MAKE people do what you want.

@@monicascott2354 she was a perfect victim. She Had no one in town and she depended on this fool. If someone was slapping my sister around and abusing Her and I knew about it, you bet she would be listening to the voice of reason. Francheska even said "I wish I asked her to stay with me, when she visited". She lost her job and this fool was only option she thought she had. Maybe I am delusional but I feel like hell would freeze over before I would let my sister live with these freaks.

You never know if it actually took place in the presence of Zack. Zack obviously preferred Ailleen to Christine, as anyone would have. He even tried to run away with Aileen, but then he was threatened. He knew Christine's dad had enough authority and influence to get him arrested for any allegation that Christine would find fit. So he didn't seem to have much of a choice but to compromise and let Christine to join them.
Unlike him, Christine had more than enough motives to get rid of Aileen, and even Zack if necessary.

Abusive relationships are like being emotionally kidnapped. You identify with your captor to survive, are highly secluded and manipulated, and it often feels safer to not upset that person when they are being calm. I agree with you 100%, but it's easier to fall into and harder to get out of that situation than you'd think. They are Jekyl and Hyde, and you just hope you get Jekyl that day. You love Jekyl; you fear Hyde. They become 2 different people in your mind because that's the only way to reconcile loving someone you simultaneously fear. And they always come back or try to lure you back. You need the resources and determination to give up everything and start over in a new place. Because they will find you. Even after you leave, you never really leave. That fear is forever.

BUT it sounds like you're making excuses...definitely rationalizing...but the final ? begs...how many women have to die like this before women GET IT...that they can't change the monster. Nothing they do, or don't do, is going to change them! How many?!?!?! Narcissists, and other maladaptive people CANNOT BE CURED. We're not getting the word out widespread enough, fast enough!

I say he DID advise her, "the first one that talks gets the best deal & can set the scene" SO SHE TALKED!!! AND SHE PUT IT ALL OFF ON HIM!!! which i say is 100% BS!!! Idc what anyone says, she was the woman scorned, she was the much older puppet master and she was the one with the VIOLENT tendencies towards Aileen... I know enough about true crimes to know that 90% of the time it is a WOMAN that will SA another woman with an object or weapon... ESPECIALLY if they are out of their mind angry and jealous, which Christina WAS especially if what they say was true and Aileen thought she was pregnant and said as much to Christina.. I believe that her being BRUTALLY SA with the stick was Christina's way of getting rid of any possible baby??? I am NOT saying that Zac wasn't involved.. OF COURSE HE WAS!! he was there, at the very least he could've stopped it!!! I mean he IS A MAN and he could've went against Christina. I'm just saying that IN NO WAY was she an innocent observer.. and IN NO WAY should she have gotten away with 25 years!!! Her texts alone prove some kind of premeditation and she should be in prison FOR LIFE!!! NOBODY believes that crocodile tear BS she was spouting in court!!! THEY ARE BOTH EVIL!!!! Why couldn’t she contact her to get the adress? Why didn’t the best friend alert the police immediately when Aileen raised concerns about her safety? It just doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t really seem like they were that close, at least not in a deep way. Her sister moved across the country and left behind the little sister she helped raise, which says a lot about the state of their relationship. Maybe things changed after the older one took on the role of caregiver, but whatever the case, it’s clear that there was some distance. It’s also telling that she didn’t share where she was with her sister and instead felt more comfortable opening up to a friend. Her sister probably didn’t even know much about her friends.
If it were me, I would have moved with my sister, but we’re really close. I just don’t get that feeling with them. It’s sad, but the choices they made seem to reflect the lack of a strong bond.
