I don’t think that her bad lies made her confident. Rather her blind confidence in herself made her a bad liar.
She thought she was convincing enough to make people believe her, to soothe their suspicions with pretty smiles and crocodile tears. And that worked for a while.
But ultimately she met people who were more focused on facts than her stories. Who didn’t falter when she started crying. And as soon as they looked behind those lies, her story absolutely crumbled from every angle.

That's a strange thing that was said: "Sleeping with your best friend's mom is the ultimate betrayal." No it's not. They were both single adults. Sleeping with your friend's husband or wife is the ultimate betrayal. It seems like 48 hours is determined to paint her in the worst possible light, right from the beginning, suggesting she was a prostitute, but no actual evidence of that. 48 hours even played a major part in her conviction. I don't think she had adequate representation, she is stupid and shouldn't have been talking to the investigators. They really had nothing unless they could intimidate and pressure her to incriminate herself. If she is such an evil criminal, multi murderer (no evidence for that either, just wild conjecture) how come she had no clue how to defend herself in a Homicide investigation? I feel like she was hated for being a low-class single teen-age mom who got lucky and married a well-off man. His family hated her from day one. Well that doesn't make them right. Maybe they're just mean.

      Please.
48 Hours did no such thing. Her own children had nothing good to say about her. I mean, I know these shows are partly scripted but, obviously, 48 Hours simply doesn't supply the answers.
Perhaps I'm wrong but, her perceived stupidity aside, she strikes me as a woman with an over-inflated ego, a woman who wants all eyes on her. Clearly, her commitment of a crime landed her skinny behind in prison. But her inability to control her tongue is key here.
I'm pretty sure she's hated for killing a man who gave her a good life. My conclusion is that his family saw through her when he couldn't.

I am still in shock that Michelle's husband made $800k, and she was still able to spend that money as soon as it hit their bank account. The poor guy was doing everything he could to provide and create the ideal life for his wife and kids, and it somehow wasn't enough for this woman.

I was in a similar. I usually average 500k+. Went all to shopping and bags and clothes and crap
Nothing was ever enough and you were on a treadmill to provide because with personality disorders like that. They give you sex however much you want as long as you keep it rolling in….
It can easily happen. What turns I from one small bag to then 3 and then expensive clothes that day.. I’ve spent many times 30k in one day on crap.
It just gets bigger and more expensive. 😂

@@ssing7113 Wow!! Yeah I guess when you think about it, between designer clothes, cars, fancy foods, etc you can really spend money fast. It reminds me of that movie from the 80's with Richard Pryor - Brewster's Millions, where he had to spend $30 million in 30 days to inherit $300 million. This woman would have done it in a day, lol.

I can’t believe she thought she could finesse the jury with her lies…. Smh I wish I had someone that would do half of the things her husband did for her for me and my daughter but life works in mysterious ways. She is exactly where she belongs. I hope her family heals from all the pain she caused them.

We are irish back then you didn’t get much help when you separated from your husband.if I had someone like him I wouldn’t be able to do enough for him.

She didn't deserve his love 😢. That man gave her the world, and she gave him a bullet.
She wasn't all that pretty anyway.
I feel so bad for what the children had to go through. She was selfish and all about her.
She was lucky to have had a wonderful man like him.
      What a sad story 😢.

We will never know the truth. But for whatever reason, she killed him. She's fooling herself, but not anyone else. She has lost everything and everyone.
