The Old City of Jerusalem is one of the most intense places on Earth where the three great religions of the world: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam share their origins. You can hear from the city roofs the sounds of bells, of the Jewish shofars and the call of the muezzin who gives the call to prayer at a mosque. You can be captivated also by the soulful sound of an Armenian duduk, coming from the Armenian Quarter.
The song about Jerusalem is based on the Psalm 137, which was written by the rivers of Babylon, where the exiled Jews lamented over the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple. They wondered how they would endure on foreign soil. For ages, this psalm has been recited at Jewish weddings around the globe just before the groom stomps on a piece of glass, ensuring that Jerusalem is always at the forefront of our minds and reminding us that no joyous occasion is complete until Jerusalem is restored to its former glory:
„If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, if I do not remember you, if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Bardzo żywa ładna nuta, uzupełniona obrazem. Yerushalaim - samo słowo brzmi wspaniale, dobrze pasuje do muzyki. Ciekawy utwór muzyczny - bardzo dobry wokalnie, chociaż mojego ulubionego Goodbye Odessa, no, nie wywyższy się. Ale piękne. Podoba się!
