I'll soon be building a newly developed 2 channel WiFi oscilloscope. Waiting on parts which is par for the course. I had thought TPS would make a fine DEMO allowing me to be at the accelerator pedal, tablet in hand, scope under hood and no wires! I was going to throw in a math channel for good measure. Then, this video comes out. Great minds think alike, Ian:) Also interesting, roll mode in HANTEK and roll mode in HScope have two different meanings. With the HT1008, from what I see in your video it looks a lot like the AUTOMOTIVE MODULE in HScope that doesn't use pages (not at all) and streams borderless data. I'll discuss it with Martin, it's caught my attention. In other news, after 5 months, we're looking for another cat. Wife is ready.
Makes a big difference if yer in the right mode. Don’t change your plans on my account, if you don’t mind I certainly don’t. I am happy to have your thoughts on any issue...Plenty black cats in the pound Denis (I have to do my part for them) Superstition (fear and ignorance) quite literally leaves them out in the cold. Of course it’s entirely up to you and your Wife 🤣 Cheers Pal 👍

Very informative, and thanks for the tip on the roll mode. Gonna try this with a simple 10 k pot and using the hantek 6022bl. Not sure if it has roll mode though. Thank you for another great vid!
it makes logical sense why they use two seperate signals since this is what tells pcm your throttle position its a safety feature,if you had only one signal and that had resistance/shorted that could be dangerous if you only had a single signal.im surprised one isnt reversed though meaning as you open throttle one adds voltage and the other goes down in voltage?
I thought you might be interested my post to the HScope Group, Ian: TheGibby3340 (my buddy Ian) posted a video yesterday using the HT1008 in "ROLL" mode. Not to be confused with HScope's ROLL mode which is HANTEK's SCAN mode. No wonder we struggle at times:) HANTEK's "ROLL" mode is very much like our AUTOMOTIVE MODULE...a steady stream, right to left. I took a close look and its limit is 500ms/div which is inline with HScope's 2Ksa/s limit (1008 in automotive) Can not be stopped, nor saved which is a big drawback. But, I found it interesting that HANTEK even has a borderless stream mode. HANTEK 1008 ver 1.0.30 has come a long way. We will give 'em that...
@@TheGibby3340 I have the Hantek 1008a, what is the voltage input range? i work with transmissions. The shift solenoids have 12 volts supplied, which the ECM grounds to switch on. Will i need an attenuator?
@@gilrod2511 The help section in the menu of the software contains a user manual including specifications. I use an attenuator any time the voltage is over 20V. Shift solenoids will produce induction spikes that can reach quite high levels as you know. So to safeguard your gear, for that application I would use one. Hantek produce the HT-201 (20:1) cheap insurance.
The Help section of the drop down menu of the software contains the manual. Alternatively go to Hantek website I believe the manual is available for download.
Fantastic, now I can pull out my hanger DS3604 out the top of the closet and put it to some good use..
I have no idea what a DS3604 is ??? DSO3064....Is that the Model you are referring to? Thx for watching 👍
Once again great video 👍
Very useful info about the software
Thank you Sir. Greatly appreciated 👍

Where is the zero line on the hantek
Where you set the respective channel marker on the Y axis. 👍
Where can I get instructions on this scope?
The Help section of the drop down menu of the software contains the manual. Alternatively go to Hantek website I believe the manual is available for download.
